All Cowards Blame Bush For Everything

~Snooper~

I don’t give a damn if “Bush Urges Congress to Pass Relief Bill” or not. I don’t want to bail or buy anyone out. It is not in the best interests of a nation in the long run if a government run “private industry” gets involved and saves the day in the moment of inconvenience. They soiled their own linen so let them lay in it and stink. Historically speaking, when the government gets involved in just about anything, that particular “issue” grows into a worse monster. Let this Democrat Party quagmire play itself out and allow the market to fix itself. This will be the best way to expose the culprits. This incremental socialism has got to stop and it has to stop now…before there is blood in our streets.

Chris Dodd has introduced a more “aggressive” - read that as more “progressive”; read that as more “socialist” - alternative bail/buy out of crooks and liars put into place by the Leftinistra within the Democrat Party. Chris Dodd, in case you don’t know this IS IN CHARGE of banking procedures in this country. Where in the hell was he when it was pointed out that there were major issues with the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac accounting? Oh. Wait. He said that there WASN’T a problem until it became politically expedient to blame Bush - just like a good little lap sucker of Soros would. Damn Dodd and Soros to hell, thank you very much. You can listen to the moron here.

Are you tired of the “Congressional Shell Games” yet? I most assuredly am. Folks, it is primarily the Democrat Party that has caused this financial quagmire. Period. However, that doesn’t mean that some Republicans haven’t also got their whistles wet either.

[…] In the case of campaign account pass-alongs, incumbents take money that was raised ostensibly for their own re-election campaigns and contribute it to their colleagues’ accounts or to their national party committees. Incumbents, especially those without serious re-election challenges, pass along as much as 50 percent of the money they have raised. (Senators have exempted their own campaigns from certain spending disclosures, so it’s hard to know who’s received what from re-election campaign pass-alongs.) There is no requirement that the original contributor be informed that his or her money isn’t going for the purpose for which it was intended. In the case of a contribution from a congressman’s PAC, the pass-along amounts to “legalized” money-laundering. It’s a way to get around the lower limit on the size of contributions. (PACs may raise more money from individual donors - $5,000 per person - than the $2,300 per person that personal re-election campaign committees may raise.) And it’s a way to avoid full disclosure. In effect, the pass-along negates the laws intended to limit the influence of individual contributors, and it negates the laws intended to ensure that the public knows who is financing campaigns. Either way, the pass-along increases the pernicious effect of the seniority system, which gives greater power to members of Congress who have been in Washington the longest, and, thus, as a general rule, least share the values and interests of their constituents. […]

Had enough yet? Go read the rest at TAT to get the blood boiling.

Something else I could care less about is that “McCain will propose oversight board“. I am not impressed and neither should you be. I don’t want another useless oversight board because they all fail, as history reveals. I want criminal investigations…PERIOD. I want people in jail. I want the crooks’ assets seized and the proceeds used to pay off the debts accrued by these blatant criminals.

The screen shot to the left comes from HT to Douglas Ross. The entire piece is a must read by God. You want to know the morons that STOPPED President Bush and others from stepping in and averting the current crisis when it was affordable? Check the post out.

Why are there no calls for the head of Chris Dodd? And, why did he think that he could or would be a viable President of the United States?

Why are there no calls for the head of Barney Frank and why did he say that the views expressed way back then that the claims were exaggerated? Are they exaggerated now or is this one more political stunt in the realm of political expediency? Seeing that they were all wrong about the Iraq War, what makes anyone believe they are right about anything in the present? Some things boggle the mind, do they not?

$90, 128, 761 for Franklin Raines? $30, 155, 029 for Timothy Howard? $26, 466, 834 for Jamie Gorelick? Gorelick? Does she? $21, 000, 000 for Jim Johnson? Bonuses? For what? And the Leftinistra dare whine about oil executive Golden Parachutes? I smell the usual DNC Double Standard panties covered with fecal matter.

I say let the sleeping dogs lay and let the pieces which are crumbling fall where they may. Are people going to lose their homes? Yes. Are people going to lose their businesses? Yes. Perhaps people will then figure out that it is always best to live within your means and not a fabricated one. Perhaps they will learn that it isn’t a government program that will come to their rescue every time they make a foolish business or personal decision. Perhaps then and only then will they hold their political leaders accountable.

Then again, when one suffers from BDS, it is always easier to blame Bush for everything. As I do and a host of others know, “It’s an established fact that President Bush began to call for reform for Freddie Mac and Sally Mae long before it was politically fashionable, and long before the present crisis.” And that’s a fact Jack!

As others try and lie their way out of this, they become more exposed for what they represent…pure idiocy, dishonesty and their stature as known liars. More liars can be found at Memeorandum.

It has been government interference with our financial markets that has caused this and other crises. History also bares this out. As always, just say NO to all government bail outs and buy outs. Always from now until forever ends.

Looking for leadership in this current crisis? Don’t look towards Czarbie. He is #3 in pay-offs by the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac crooks and he waited until AFTER McCain said his piece on the issue to come out with the usual DNC tripe of “we can do it better” without EVER explaining what that means. Czarbie can’t even follow correctly. How in the hell can he even remotely think that he has what it takes to lead? Czarbie voted “present” as his answer to most everything…what a fraud he is.

As I have said for decades now…this is socialism at work and STACLU explains it fairly well. This is Socialism 101 at work no matter what you hear to the contrary. Socialism gets a death grip on a nation when it can get its filthy hands on the economy.

Gateway Pundit has the chronology of this crisis and the evidence is clear: Bush and McCain tried to stop this bleeding but Democrats stopped them. Naturally, the cowards on the left haven’t the courage to accept responsibility so they have to brush it off onto someone else. Such cowards they are indeed.

I agree with Newt Gingrich: “Gingrich on the Bailout: Before D.C. Gets Our Money, It Owes Us Some Answers“. Well. Actually, they owe us prison sentences.

Right Voices has something to say as well: “The Mother of All Bailouts = The Death of Fiscal Conservatism”. Indeed.

Then, again, cowards always try and lie their way out of truth.

Having been driven out of Iraq despite Barack Obama’s heroic efforts on their behalf, al Qaeda’s western wing (as opposed to the eastern wing in Pakistan) has found a new home - which they, er, christened with a bang:

Yemen, the site of a car-bomb attack yesterday on the American Embassy, is quietly emerging as a base for Al Qaeda veterans of the Iraq war, who are seeking refuge there and are close to establishing the kind of safe haven the group enjoys on Pakistan’s border with Afghanistan.

American intelligence officials believe that Osama bin Laden’s organization is regrouping in the governorates of Ma’rib, al-Jawf, and Hadhramaut along Yemen’s border with Saudi Arabia, and that Al Qaeda in Yemen is now being led by a former military aide to Mr. bin Laden, Nasir al-Wahishi.

“The foreign-fighter flow in Iraq has slowed down to a trickle,” a retired four-star general and adviser to Multi-National Force-Iraq, General Jack Keane, told the New York Sun. “They can’t get to their operational cells to be a bomber or a fighter, so some of them are going to other safe havens. A lot of this has to do with where they came from. But two of the places certainly are Pakistan and Yemen.” That assessment was supported by two American intelligence officials whom the Sun contacted for comment on the bombing of the American Embassy yesterday in Sana’a. The attack killed sixteen Yemeni nationals but no Americans, the Associated Press reported, and the attackers included at least one suicide bomber, as well as gunmen wearing Yemeni military uniforms and armed with rocket-propelled grenades. One of the tasks of the FBI, which will investigate the attack, will be to determine whether members of Yemen’s armed forces participated in the attack.

Interesting, huh? Not so much the embassy attack, which wasn’t the first one even this year, but some of the attackers wearing Yemeni military uniforms. Could the jihadis have pilfered them? Sure; it’d be emblematic of  Yemen’s all around indifference to and marked lack of enthusiasm for aiding us in the War Against Islamic Fundamentalism. But if those “gunmen” were Yemeni military, that means either that they went rogue, or their government is now in passive cahoots with AQ, not unlike the even more hair-raising state of affairs in Pakistan.

As Ensign Ed observed, by the terms of the original Bush Doctrine, this would bring the Yemeni regime into our crosshairs for punitive action free of the complications of Islamic nuclear arsenals and keeping them out of the wrong hands. This would also be important in order to prevent a revival of the attempted Islamist takeover of Somalia that the Ethiopians crushed two years ago. The imperative of the (original) Bush Doctrine was to pre-empt mass-casuality Islamist terrorism by denying the enemy state sanctuaries where they can headquarter, gather resources, train, and mount offensives against Western targets. We’ve beaten them in Iraq (despite Barack Obama’s heroic efforts), we could beat them in Afghanistan did they not have a state-allowed sanctuary in northwest Pakistan. Gifting them much less isolated Yemen is a complacency we cannot afford.

Similarly, anybody who has consulted my thoughts on Iran and its quest for nuclear weapons knows that I have staunchly maintained since at least the end of “major combat operations” in Iraq over five years ago that Iran needs to be liberated by American military power even more urgently than Iraq did in order to avert the doomsday scenario of an irrational, theocratic, viciously anti-Semitic and anti-American Islamist regime launching a nuclear holocaust under the banner of a “holy” religious quest. Throw in the revanchist neo-Cold War hostilities with Vladimir Putin’s Russia and the ever-arming, ever-scheming Red Chinese and the picture of the world that the next president is going to inherit is one of a world that will spin into bloody chaos in the absence of firm American leadership backed by unchallengable American power.

John Sith McCain, whatever his myriad perfidious faults, would provide such leadership on the world stage. This, on the other hand, exemplifies the leadership vacuum in store if the voters throw caution, prudence, and sanity to the four winds and opt to “make history” instead:

“We are pleased to inform you that the keynote speakers at the “Stop Iran. Now!” Rally are confirmed to be Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, Governor Sarah Palin and Nobel Laureate Elie Wiesel,” read an e-mail from a leader of a Jewish group planning the event.

But the curtain came down on the comedy sketch-turned-reality before the duo ever hit the stage: Clinton officials soon said they had not been told Palin would be on hand — and that her presence, which made the event a political one, would mean the absence of the New York senator.

The McCain-Palin campaign has not yet said whether Palin herself will still be attending the event, but released a statement criticizing Clinton’s withdrawal. “Governor Palin believes that the danger of a nuclear Iran is greater than party or politics,” said spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt. “She hopes that all parties can rally together in opposition to this grave threat.”

Feel free to jump in at any time here if you think I’m in desperate need of advice, but wouldn’t the presence of ANY politician make this event “political,” by that broad a definition? Indeed, wouldn’t having a prominent member of BOTH parties present balance out the rostrum and drain the program of any partisan perceptions? AP correctly argues that Her Majesty’s fleeing Palinmania is what brought politics into this equation. What possible harm could come from Mrs. Clinton and Barracuda speaking jointly or severally on behalf of a cause that no truly “patriotic” American can possibly oppose?

Answer: None, if your top priority is protecting our country and its allies from mortal threats; is avoiding the horrific spectre of American and/or European and/or Israeli civilian death tolls in the tens or hundreds of thousands or even millions; is doing everything possible to avoid one city after another going up in hellish mushroom-shaped pyres of atomic conflagration.

But if your top priority is to diminish the United States as a world power, is an incurable neurosis of post-modernist guilt and multicultural self-loathing, is the at-all-costs furtherance of suicidal pacifism, and most immediately is to keep your party’s neoBolshevik crazoid base from mutinying in a geyser of utter, shrieking rage, then letting Hillary Clinton even be in the same zip code at Sarah Palin is an act of fratricide that you dare not contemplate.

I tend to think, though, that snubbing the cause of denying the mullahgarchy nuclear weapons was secondary; after all, the Dems know that the window of gumption for a Bush strike against Iran has long-since closed, and Darth Queeg isn’t about to suggest re-opening it. Hell, the Bushies won’t even let the Israelis do it for them. They’ve been cowed and browbeaten and all but physically bludgeoned into submission, and are doing what Dubya once vowed he would never do: punt the issue to the next administration. Besides which, the Dems are convinced that False Messiah will “judge between the nations and settle disputes for many peoples. The [Iranians] will beat their [nuclear] swords into plowshares and their [atomic] spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.”

No, the idea here wasn’t to defect to Tehran, but to deny Governor Palin a public appearance on an equal footing with the Feminazi Popette. A suspicion whose confirmation was not long in emerging:

The Obama campaign in turn offered to send Congressman Robert Wexler of Florida to the event, but the appearance that the non-partisan group was aligning with the Republican ticket put the group and its president, Malcolm Hoenlein, under heavy pressure from Jewish Democrats, including members of the conference, members of Congress, and the liberal group J Street, not to give Palin a platform, sources said. Hoenlein told the McCain campaign that he would have to rescind Palin’s invitation or cancel the rally.

The organizers, I’m told, have formally disinvited all elected and political officials, but the move was about Palin.

You know, the Robert Wexler who smeared Governor Palin as a “Nazi sympathizer” based on the lie that she backed Pat Buchanan for president in 2000 (in reality, she supported Steve Forbes) and the smear of PJB as a Nazi. Just the sort of “non-politician” to send to a “non-political event” sponsored by Jewish organizations.

These Jewish Donks - at Team Hussein’s usual insulated direction - weren’t playing around, either:

Sources tell CBS 2 HD that a decision to disinvite Palin from the high profile rally after Clinton pulled out in a huff came as the result of intense pressure from Democrats.

“This is insulting. This is embarrassing, especially to Governor Palin, to me and I think it should be to every single New Yorker,” Assemblyman Dov Hikind, D-Brooklyn, told CBS 2 HD.

Sources say the axes were out for Palin as soon as Senator Clinton pulled out because she did not want to attend the same event as the Republican vice presidential candidate…

The groups sponsoring the rally against Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speaking at the UN were reportedly told, “it could jeopardize their tax exempt status” if they had Palin and not Clinton or Democratic VP candidate Joe Biden on hand…

“It’s an absolute shame that this has happened,” Hikind said. “To threaten organizations … to threaten the Conference of Presidents that if you don’t withdraw the invitation to Governor Palin we’re going to look into your tax exempt status … that’s McCarthyism.”…

“I’m absolutely appalled at the behavior of the Democrats,” said Bob Kunst of Defenders.net. “I’m a Democrat and for the first time in my life I’m going to vote Republican. I can’t take it anymore.”

And who leaned on Hillary to back out on a booking to which she had committed months ago? Barack Hussein Obama. His dirty, rotten, slimy, stinking, McCarthyist surrogates took it from there. Because as we will all be re-educated to know, Sarah Palin a heartbeat away from the presidency is an infinitely greater threat to the national security of the United States than nuclear weapons in the hands of men who have openly and public declared their sacred intent and duty to commit anti-Semitic genocide and bring “The Great Satan” to its knees.

Parting point to ponder: Pretend you are Adolph Ahmadinejad reading the following lament from “Stop Iran Now!” organizer and Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations chief Malcolm Hoenlein and ask yourself what your reaction to it would be:

Some Jewish activists are blaming Hillary Clinton for [the rally’s] collapse; in the interview, Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations chief Malcolm Hoenlein blamed board members of some of the organizations involved, and a “vile” campaign by the National Jewish Democratic Council.

“Pressure really grows from the grassroots and from people on their boards. People feel very strongly these days. Irrationally strongly. I can’t even describe to you the kind of reactions and threats that they came under – and intimidation,” Hoenlein said. “It’s rampant. I have never seen an election that has evoked such deep division and response and emotion on the part of people – Jews and non-Jews.” [emphases added]

Is it any wonder that the Iranians are practically drooling at the prospect of President Obama? Or that Osama bin Laden, Vladimir Putin, Hugo Chavez, the ChiComms, et al are rubbing their hands together with glee as well?  With B.O. in charge, they won’t even have to soften us up before they take us down. Another Of Barry’s Inbound Chickens?

In a strikingly bold speech about terrorism scheduled for this morning, Democratic presidential candidate Illinois Senator Barack Obama will call not only for a withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, but a redeployment of troops into Afghanistan and even Pakistan - with or without the permission of Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf.

“I understand that President Musharraf has his own challenges,” Obama will say, according to speech excerpts provided to ABC News by his campaign, “but let me make this clear. There are terrorists holed up in those mountains who murdered 3,000 Americans. They are plotting to strike again. It was a terrible mistake to fail to act when we had a chance to take out an al Qaeda leadership meeting in 2005. If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf won’t act, we will.” …

That was thirteen months and sixteen days ago.  Here was my timely and highly entertaining analysis.

Here’s the latest out of Pakistan - yesterday:

On the eve of a meeting with the top U.S. military commander, Pakistan upped the ante in its standoff over U.S. troop incursions, saying its soldiers had orders to open fire on American troops if they crossed from Afghanistan on raids…

A Pakistani military spokesman said Tuesday that the nation’s troops have been ordered to open fire if U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan launched another raid inside Pakistan, raising the prospect of a clash between Pakistani and U.S. forces on the border. Pakistani military officials have repeatedly emphasized that they consider such incursions — made permissible for U.S. troops by secret orders issued by U.S. President George W. Bush in July — to be a violation of territorial sovereignty.

“No incursion will be tolerated anymore,” said Major-General Athar Abbas, chief military spokesman. The prospect of allies fighting each other as they hunt down Islamist militants still appears remote, given the Pakistani government’s desire to receive billions of dollars in aid from the U.S. But the repeated warnings against U.S. troop raids reflect the strong anger felt among Pakistan’s senior ranks that the U.S. is overstepping its bounds with a close ally.

And if a clash or clashes do occur between U.S. and Pakistani forces?  I would assume that’s why JCS Chairman Mike Mullen is in Islamabad at this very moment.  To remind the unserious regime of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani of just where his best interests lieA talk that is long overdue, in my humble opinion.

Hopefully AP is right and General Abbas was just blustering for PR consumption.  Otherwise the choices will be (1) keep raiding Pakistan and possibly push its government and nuclear arsenal into Islamist hands; or (2) let al Qaeda have its new base of operations and mark time until the resumption of their North American offensive.

Now aren’t you just DYING to have Barack Obama making that decision?  I KNEW you were!

This is my hill

By J.J. Jackson

Eventually, if you want to enact positive change you have to fight for that change. If you don’t, you’ll just get more of the same. Right now America is in full retreat, being chased from each hilltop by anti-American forces touting their weapons of class warfare, rights descendant from bureaucrats and mob rule where the minority is not protected.

I firmly believe that one of the problems we have in our society today is that we are compromised by compromise. At some point people began believing that compromise, much like change, is carte blanche good and never to be questioned. Others though seem to believe that compromise should be questioned, but only as a formality to look like they were seriously considering the consequences. But if you keep compromising with people that don’t agree with you on core issues all you are doing is moving towards their position and away from yours.

And if your position is a core belief what happens when you are no longer upholding it because you have compromised to the point where your opposition has basically gotten their way? It doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to figure it out.

We see where compromise has gotten us on a variety of issues from abortion, where a child isn’t a child if it is only so many weeks old in the womb but magically becomes a child one nanosecond after that, to the second amendment where it is now only ok to keep certain types of government approved arms despite the clear and unambiguous term “shall not be infringed” staring us in the face. We have been led to a place where arbitrary and capricious standards that make absolutely no sense reign. And it has all been in the name of the vaunted goal of compromise.

America has, over the years been a victim of an extreme leftward lean in our policy. Those that have pioneered this policy have played on the desire of Americans to simply want to get along with everyone. They exploited that desire with perfection.

This became blatantly apparent in the years after FDR’s social programs to the point where today the continually modified and expanded FDR plan for socialism is favored by the majority of Republicans where as in the early twentieth century it was favored by the Democrats. Today, after decades of compromise on the Constitution and with the Republicans as a whole filling the position of the Democrats of old, the Democrats have marched solidly even further to the left.

They then cry out for even more compromise with their new and more intrusive government programs such as Hillary Clinton’s plan for socialized medicine. Every election cycle they propose even grander socialist wealth redistribution policies. And why shouldn’t they? They’ve eventually won nearly every battle they have fought when it comes to such ideas by drawing enough people into compromise for compromise sake and promising them a piece of the pie they offer.

Everything has shifted. Because once our decision was made to compromise on the core principles which founded this great nation we have been in a constant state of retreat from the fight for individual liberty, equality and unalienable rights. Americans are in retreat and those that want to turn America into some form of socialist nanny state with themselves at the controls are on the attack.

As we retreat we keep passing up hills and giving them to the enemy.

The hill named “Right to property”? Gone. Overrun by the forces of FDR charging forward with his plans for confiscating the wealth of one American to pay retirement benefits to other Americans.

The hill named “Right to Privacy” with regards to our personal affects and records? Gone with the invention of the income tax because each and every year you are required to lay your personal records bear for the government to scrutinize.

The hill named “Second Amendment”? The daisies on that hilltop were trampled into the ground long ago with laws that infringed on the rights of the people to freely keep and bear arms.

The hill named “First Amendment”? Blown right past when McCain-Feingold became law.

And we just keep retreating and giving ground like it doesn’t matter. I’ve been yelling for years but the generals leading this charge backwards have ignored me. But now my legs are getting tired. In my arms there is a loaded rifle that has been rarely fired under official orders. Although I have fired it many times on my own and with other Americans also fed up with the situations that arise much to the chagrin of those who claim to be our “leaders” of course. And all about me I am watching my fellow Americans retreat as the orders are given time and again.

We are told to rally around our anointed leader, whoever it may be, come election time. We have the specter of a Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama presidency thrown in our faces to scare us into voting against them and not for something. We are told not to question. We are told to sit down and shut up. We are told, as conservatives, to vote for whomever the GOP nominee is, even if it is someone like John McCain who is basically using the John Kerry strategy of running on the fact that he served in Vietnam and how dare you question him. Don’t you know he is a war hero?

If you point out that he has a penchant for violating the Constitution and joining arm in arm with some of the most liberal members of Congress you are branded a troublemaker, a racist or whatever nonsensical term he and those that support him think they can get away with.

But there is one problem. The problem is that I am not actually enlisted in this army and I don’t really mind being labeled a troublemaker. I have sworn no deep allegiance to the Republican Party aside from simply registering with the party so that I can vote in their primaries and have a say in who their nominee is. But I am not a good little soldier and I do not recognize their authority to order me to vote for their candidate if I disagree with the ultimate choice. I’ve merely been here as someone that has sought to lend my rifle to defeating bigger foes of America.

But now I am not certain that the Republican Party is my kindred spirit in the quest for restoring this Republic. So I’m stopping; right here. No more running. This hill on which I now come to rest will be my hill. This is where I will make my stand.

And I know we as Americans can do it. We can make this stand. Remember when we were told to accept comprehensive immigration reform and amnesty for illegals? Remember how we were told that stopping that atrocious piece of legislation was impossible? That it was a done deal? Remember what happened when the foot soldiers revolted against McCain and others who did not have America’s best interests in mind?

That’s my point.

I was there for that battle. I fought on the front lines. And I saw what happens first hand when Americans rally even as their leaders cower and retreat. Mere foot soldiers rose to the status of general through battlefield promotions and led the counter attack. So my legs will not run another mile. They don’t have another mile left in them to run.

I will not be blown off this hill. I’m setting myself here, preparing my powder and cleaning my rifle. I am confident in my shot. And make no mistake, I will fire every last bullet at those that are about to come over the rise and try to take this hill from me.

This is my hill; one of the last vestiges of our once great country slowly being ripped from us. And I know that there are many who will stand firm if only they see others willing to stand their ground and know they are not alone.

Sure, others will blindly follow the calls for retreat. I will not.

I am tired of being told to suck it up and grow up and accept the compromise placed before me by those that are worried they will lose if I do not follow. Yet at the same time they are unwilling to compromise with me and my fellow Americans and reveal their own hypocrisy. They don’t want compromise. They don’t want what is best for this country. They want their power. And I will not be party to that folly.

It will not be easy. There will be suffering. There will be pain. There will be blood spilled this day and probably for many days, months and years to come. We may even enter into terrible darkness and the deepest of winters and fear that all is lost. But to make things better I am willing to suffer. If I am not, then the enemy has already won and defeated me.

This is my hill and I claim it for Lady Liberty. This is where I make my stand for what is right. And John McCain? He will never have my vote. Promises today and deathbed conversions cannot undo the history he has.

To Hell with worrying if anyone else has the courage to stand by my side and fight. The only way you are taking this hill is over my dead body. Today is a good day to die, but since I don’t plan on dying on this hill, that means there is only one question to ask of those about to charge over this hill and try to take it. Are you willing to die on this hill trying to take it from not just me but all the other Americans you are about to come face to face with?

Well? Are you?

Over half of American voters (51%) now believe the United States and its allies are winning the war on terror, the highest figure recorded in nearly four years by Rasmussen Reports in a nationwide survey.

Only 16% now think the terrorists are on top, while 27% view it as a stalemate. Prior to this week’s survey, the number who believe the terrorists are winning had never fallen below 20%.

Last July, just 36% thought the U.S. and its allies were winning. At that time, an equal number—36%–thought the terrorists were ahead … Only 23% now expect things to get worse in Iraq, down from 49% last July.

Terrorism and God’s Plan on Political Pistachio

Walid Shoebat Returns to Political Pistachio Radio

Walid’s new book, God’s War on Terror will be out after July 11, 2008

Walid Shoebat tonight returns to Political Pistachio Radio, this time to talk about the new book.

Walid has been a returning guest on Political Pistachio Radio since his first visit in September 1, 2007. He is a former Palestinian terrorist who became a Christian. After marrying his American wife, Walid tried to convert her to Islam. He bought a Bible and read it in hopes to disprove his wife’s religion. This actually backfired and then Walid learned the truth about God, and Christ’s promise of salvation. Walid has re-dedicated his life to speaking internationally about the lies of Islam, the treachery of child indoctrination in Israel of the Palestinian children by Hamas, the Palestinian Authority, and Hezbollah. He teaches that Israel is a land God gave wholly to the Jews. He had to give up family and his homeland to take this position.

His first book, Why We Want to Kill You, reveals:

- How the Muslim Terrorists invaded America 30 years ago

- What their plan was and how patience was key

- How perseverence, recruitment, and hate fueled attacks in the U.S. and U.S. interests worldwide

- The similarities between radical Muslims and Nazi Germany

- Why Hitler failed so early and the Muslims, through patience, have increased their stronghold

This is information you will NOT get on CNN, MSNBC, or FoxNews or any other major television or Radio station as the Muslims have taken over financial controlling interests and will not allow the TRUTH to be aired.

Why We Want to Kill You: The Jihadist Mindset and How to Defeat It is part autobiographical, part confessional. Why We Want to Kill You helps readers in the West understand the Islamic mindset, what drives Islamic hatred and violence, and how to become more aware of the dangers to which many Americans and Europeans have become overly complacent.

Now we are seeing the world shape into what is really going on, and Walid Shoebat recognizes the signs at the center of the growing Islamization of the world.

In the news now are stories about Hamas and other radical Muslims and their attempts to continue their agenda to destroy Israel, the U.S., and other western countries.

Walid has continuously proclaimed that the only way to stop this is for Christians and Jews to stick together and fight.

Why should we join together against the Islamization of the world? Because we must realize that the invasion by Muslims worldwide creates a stronghold we should be concerned about, and if left alone, may become so large that it cannot be stoppeed.

Walid’s latest book, God’s War on Terror, is a deep comparison of Islam with the AntiChrist. Walid shows how the prophecy of the Koran lines up with the end times prophecy of the AntiChrist and how it will effect Christians and Jews. Walid also outlines how important the relationship is between Christians and Jews to protect the Jews and Israel from the evil surrounding it.

Tonight, Walid joins us to discuss his latest book. Go to Political Pistachio Radio to listen at 10:00 PM Eastern, or check out the archive later!

Defense Personnel Transport Uranium Ore Out of Iraq

By Jim Garamone
American Forces Press Service

WASHINGTON, July 7, 2008 – Defense personnel have completed the transfer of 550 metric tons of Iraqi uranium ore to Canada, Defense officials said here today.

The Iraqi government asked the United States to help transfer the yellowcake — as the ore is known — from Tuwaitha Nuclear Research Center near Baghdad to its buyer in Canada, Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman said today.

The military dubbed the movement Operation McCall, and it ended July 5. DoD’s portion of the operation involved the transfer of the ore.

Yellowcake is a uranium ore that can be processed to become nuclear fuel. State and Energy Department personnel also participated in the transfer.

Officials transferred the uranium by convoy from Tuwaitha nuclear research facility to a secure location in Baghdad’s International Zone, Whitman said. The ore was in 110 shipping containers. The shipping containers were placed aboard Air Force C-17 Globemaster III airlifters and taken to an intermediate location. It took 37 sorties to transfer the yellowcake.

At the intermediate location — which Whitman could not name — the ore was loaded aboard the SS Gopher State, a Military Sealift Command ship, which took it to Montreal.

“This was material that was discovered when we initially went in to Tuwaitha,” Whitman said. “It was under the control of the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency since that time.”

Whitman stressed that yellowcake is not of direct use in a nuclear weapon. “It is a commodity that is traded routinely in the global nuclear energy sector,” he said. “It can be used as a feed material for nuclear weapons if a country has access to the necessary fuel technology.”

The cost of the transfer was $70 million, and the government of Iraq will reimburse the United States for a portion of the cost, Whitman said.

My personal editorial comment:

I thought Iraq in no way had any type nuclear program, or held NO capability to have one? But then why did Saddam have…wait “yellowcake” where did I hear that before? Oh yeah, Wilson yappin’ about how Saddam was not involved with nuclear work.

How will the left explain this away?

Wars & Rumors Of War

Left wingnuts are forever trying to play down the distinct possibility that our intelligence estimates of when Iran will cross the nuclear weapons threshold are vastly, complacently overstated.  Ditto the possibility that al Qaeda may in fact have some manner of nuclear weapons capability.  Recall Barack Hussein Obama’s “Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, et al are ‘tiny countries’ that don’t pose a ’serious threat’” speech.  As though erring on the side of caution is criminal, but taking whimsical chances with the lives of millions is perfectly okay.

Well, guess what, gentles - things are worse than we thought:

An international smuggling ring that sold bomb-related parts to Libya, Iran and North Korea also managed to acquire blueprints for an advanced nuclear weapon, according to a draft report by a former top U.N. arms inspector that suggests the plans could have been shared secretly with any number of countries or rogue groups.

The drawings, discovered in 2006 on computers owned by Swiss businessmen, included essential details for building a compact nuclear device that could be fitted on a type of ballistic missile used by Iran and more than a dozen developing countries, the report states.

The computer contents — among more than [a tera]byte of data seized — were recently destroyed by Swiss authorities under the supervision of the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency, which is investigating the now-defunct smuggling ring previously led by Pakistani scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan.

But U.N. officials cannot rule out the possibility that the blueprints were shared with others before their discovery, said the report’s author, David Albright, a prominent nuclear weapons expert who spent four years researching the smuggling network.

So.  Not only will Iran have the capability of churning out nukes within as little as two months, but they probably already possess the means of deploying them as soon as they come off the assembly line.

And, evidently, nobody cares.  Nobody realizes, nobody is willing to face the sober fact, that the “international community,” but especially Europe, Israel, and the United States, are teetering on the edge of the unthinkable abyss.  All they still are capable of is chest-puffing about yet another round of useless, toothless “sanctions” that will be irrelevant at best, just like all their predecessors (see the twelve years of sanctions that didn’t slow down Saddam Hussein’s WMD programs one jot or tittle), or at worst will encourage Iran, convinced time is no longer on their side, to strike us like Imperial Japan sixty-seven years ago - only with a much bigger “stick”.

As if to pointedly highlight their oceanic contempt for our galloping impotence, Iran bellicosely reiterated - again - the facts of mullahgarchic life:

Iran said on Tuesday uranium enrichment was its “red line” and would continue, despite an enhanced offer of incentives from big powers to stop activity the West fears could yield nuclear bombs…

The incentive package agreed by the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany last month and delivered by Solana is a revised version of one rejected by Iran in 2006…

The incentives package offers Iran the chance to develop a civilian nuclear program with light water reactors — seen as harder to divert into bomb-making than the technology Tehran is now developing — and legally binding fuel supply guarantees.

It also offers trade and other benefits, including the possibility of Iran buying civil aircraft from the West.

You know, I read things like this and the absurdity of it makes me want to gag.  The fact that this morony is putting my life and the lives of my family in potentially mortal danger is something I know intellectually, but even I have difficulty wrapping my mind around the reality of what it would mean in practical terms.  Not, I suspect, unlike those who were beholding world events in 1939, 1940, and 1941.  “Oh, no, the Japs will NEVER attack US; they know better than to commit national suicide.”  “C’mon, all Hitler wants is the Sudetenland - he explicitly said so!  If we give it to him, he’ll be satisfied and we can maintain the peace.”  Almost nobody in the West had any grasp of the possibility that maybe, just maybe, Adolph Hitler DID want to conquer the world and WAS willing to wage total war to do it, and the Japanese WOULD attack us believing that we were (drumroll) soft and would quickly tire of any attempt at resisting their conquest of the Pacific once we encountered the savagery of their warriors and sue for peace instead.

Thus did our grandfathers go from sitting at home listening to our politicians drone about “peace in our time” to flying bomber fleets firebombing German cities and cutting their way across one jungle-covered Pacific island after another within the space of three years.  Thus did sixty million human beings - including, of course, six million Jews - needlessly perish in a planetary conflagration that could so easily have been pre-empted with a little military action applied early enough to make a difference.

Do we learn from this lamentable history?  Of course not.  It’s not in human nature to learn from past mistakes.  Why else do they get endlessly repeated?  And so we keep offering the rabid theocrats in Tehran bigger and bigger dollops of appeasement to cease developing nuclear weapons that they see as the ticket to the return of their Messiah and the Global Islamic Caliphate, and they keep telling us to shove it.  A literally vicious cycle that will continue right up until the the nuclear-tipped Shahab-3s and Shahab-5s and 6’s fly for Israel, Europe, and the US, respectively.  And, I imagine, the appeasement dollops grow proportionately.

Well, boys and girls, at least one group in this crisis isn’t paralyzed by historical amnesia:

A large Israeli military exercise this month may have been aimed at showing Jerusalem’s abilities to attack Iranian nuclear facilities.

In a substantial show of force, Israel sent warplanes and other aircraft on a major exercise in the Eastern Mediterranean early this month, Pentagon officials said Friday.

Israel’s military refused to confirm or deny that the maneuvers were practice for a strike in Iran….

The big exercise the first week of June was impossible to miss and may have been meant as a show of force as well as a practice on skills needed to execute a long-range strike mission, one U.S. official said.

The New York Times quoted officials Friday as saying that more than 100 Israeli F-16s and F-15s staged the maneuver, flying more than 900 miles, roughly the distance from Israel to Iran’s Natanz nuclear enrichment facility, and that the exercise included refueling tankers and helicopters capable of rescuing downed pilots.

You have to love Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov’s scolding the Israelis against attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities on the grounds that there’s “no proof” that the mullahs are building nukes.  That’s a hoot considering that his implied threshold of “proof” would be mushroom clouds rising above the atomized remains of Tel Aviv and Haifa - after which he would be quick, I’m sure, to extend Russia’s “condolances” for the Second Holocaust that his intereference-running for the mullahs had helped to fruition.

The Jews are not going to sit there like a potted plant and let their enemies gain, mount, and deploy the means of their annihilation against them.  If nothing else, they will ensure that if they do go down, so will the mullahs.

Meanwhile, we were generously given another reminder of Iran’s other ability to strike the U.S. homeland, and what, aside from the alleged absence of nuclear ordnance, is holding them back:

Intelligence officials tell ABC News [Hezbollah] has activated suspected “sleeper cells” in Canada and key operatives have been tracked moving outside the group’s Lebanon base to Canada, Europe and Africa…

Suspected Hezbollah operatives have conducted recent surveillance on the Israeli embassy in Ottawa, Canada and on several synagogues in Toronto, according to the officials.

Latin American is also considered a possible target by officials following Hezbollah’s planning…

Officials say the CIA, the NSA, and British and Canadian intelligence agencies began to pick up a steady stream of information - from electronic intercepts, human sources and surveillance - about a possible Hezbollah attack on February 17, just days after the Beirut funeral of Mugniyah where Hezbollah leaders publicly declared they would seek revenge…

[Former CIA intelligence officer Bob] Baer says his Hezbollah contacts told him an attack against the US was unlikely because Iran and Hezbollah did not want to give the Bush Administration an excuse to attack.]

But next year, when the Winnie the Pooh Doctrine is firmly in place?  The sky’s the limit, baby.

Thus does Yates’ question arise anew: “What rough beast, its hour come round [again], slouches towards Bethlehem to be [re]born?”

The rough beast is on its way.  The Hundred Acre Wood won’t know what hit it.

Kid Gloves For Blood-Soaked Hands

Further insight into the pacifist sewer that is Barack Hussein Obama’s “strategic thinking”:

Barack Obama says if Osama bin Laden were captured on his watch, he’d want to ensure he doesn’t become a martyr if he were prosecuted. Obama said he’s not sure that the terrorist mastermind would be captured alive.

But if he were, Obama said he would want to bring him to justice “in a way that allows the entire world to understand the murderous acts that he’s engaged in and not to make him into a martyr.”

Uh, don’t you have to be killed in order to become a “martyr”?  If you’re captured alive, that doesn’t fit within that definition, right?

And why would it require a “way of bringing him to justice” for “the entire world” to understand his murderous acts?  Didn’t “the entire world” spend the morning of September 11, 2001 sitting in either shock or racous celebration (you know in which part of the world) before their televisions as passenger jets flew into both towers of the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and, but for the heroism of four passengers on the fourth one, the White House or the U.S. Capitol?  And how much of a “martyr” would bin Laden really be if he got captured after the meat-grinder through which al Qaeda has been fed by the U.S. military over the past six years at the Bush Administration’s direction?

No, Senator, the danger isn’t that he’d become a martyr, even by your misdefinition; it’s that he’d become a hero, as his trial would take place in a U.S. civilian court, with bin Laden accorded full constitutional rights, including the right of discovery into every intelligence secret on al Qaeda the U.S. government has, and the ability to turn his trial into an O.J. Simpson-like media circus and ultimate mockery of justice.  That IS what the U.S. Supreme Court decreed last week.  Which makes it far more likely that he would be killed on the battlefield - martyred in actuality, and in the anonymity he doubtless fears - an anonymity to which you would doubtless contribute as you wouldn’t want to be known as the man who “murdered” George W. Bush’s “public enemy #1″ without due process and all that rotgut.

Given that Senator Obama did, almost by rote, praise that oligarchical atrocity, it’s all the more emblematic of his candidacy that he exposed his off-the-cuff ignorance yet again in butchering his “don’t make bin Laden a martyr” metaphor:

Obama, a former senior lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School, cited “that principle of habeas corpus, that a state can’t just hold you for any reason without charging you and without giving you any kind of due process — that’s the essence of who we are. I mean, you remember during the Nuremberg trials, part of what made us different was even after these Nazis had performed atrocities that no one had ever seen before, we still gave them a day in court and that taught the entire world about who we are but also the basic principles of rule of law. Now the Supreme Court upheld that principle yesterday.”

(Though Obama was clearly referring to the principle of giving criminals a day in court, it’s worth pointing out the distinction here, that the Nuremberg trials did not give Nazi war criminals access to U.S. courts, but to a special international military tribunal created by the U.S., USSR, France and the U.K. Though Nuremberg currently is considered a model for international law, it’s not as if Rudolph Hess had access to challenge his detention in U.S. federal court.)

Ensign Ed piles on with further clarification:

It’s not as if the military tribunals offered by Congress and the Bush Administration fell below Nuremberg standards, either. They allowed for even more rights for the defendants than Nuremberg, or would have if the Supreme Court hadn’t twice stopped them before determining whether they worked. In fact, the tribunals as conceived in the last iteration closely match what American soldiers receive for their own trials under the UCMJ.

And just imagine: under traditional international law and rules of war, it is entirely within a country’s rights and privileges to summarily execute, without trial OR due process, captured un-uniformed, illegal enemy combatants.  The Bushies bent over backwards for the terrorists even before they came under relentless pro-jihadi harassment by congressional Democrats and their counterparts on Olympus, who have now added the powers of commander-in-chief of the armed forces to their trophy case.  And now Barack Hussein Obama is either blantantly lying about de facto American citizenship for al Qaedastanis being analogous to the Nuremberg war crime tribunal, or he really is too chowder-headed to understand the difference.

Or, to put it in Ace-ian terms:

Apparently Obama is to be praised for doing the simplest and easiest things, like he’s a [bleep]ing retard who needs to be unduly complimented for making it through a tapioca break without [bleep]ing himself too much.

Maybe the MSM knows something about Barack Obama’s cognitive powers we don’t. Maybe he should be lavishly praised for a [bleep]-free tapioca.

And this man is going to be the next president of the United States?

UPDATE: Here’s how Khalid Sheikh Mohammed expressed his appreciation to Justices Kennedy, Stevens, Souter, Ginsberg, and Breyer:

“I cannot accept any attorney who is not governed by sharia [Islamic] law. I will represent myself. I will not be represented by anybody even if he is a Muslim, because he will be sworn to your American Constitution. I consider all the U.S. Constitution and laws evil. They are allowing for same-sexual marriages and many things that are very bad … Do you understand what I said?”

You can see where this is headed, cantcha?
