THE AMERICAN SPECTATOR COMES A CALLIN’ TONIGHT AT 9 WITH ANDREA

Some of Washington’s best and brightest conservative writers can be found at The American Spectator, a daily online magazine (often mentioned by el Rushbo who frequently includes it in his “stack of stuff’) that features conservative perspectives and analyses on the day’s events and issues.

ON THE RADIO! Tonight at 9 ET we’ll be talking to two of these sharp political writers.

Robert Stacy McCain asks the question: Is there a clear reason for Republicans’ defeatist mood? His take… not quite. A Rasmussen Presidential polling shows the candidates are head-to-head.

“Despite the dispirited state of the GOP, the ideological muddling of the McCain campaign, and the media accolades for Obama, it is far from a foregone conclusion that Hope and Change will triumph Nov. 4.”

“Obamamaniacs were thrilled by last month’s Newsweek poll showing their candidate ahead by 15 points. Alas for the apostles of Hope, either that poll was a statistical mirage or else the mass movement toward Obama quickly receded, and Newsweek reported last week that his lead is now an insignificant 3 percentage points.”

Midway through the program, Philip Klein will join us to add to the conversation. He was quoted this week in USA TODAY’s article on controversial The New Yorker magazine cover. Philip also attended Senator Obama’s Iraq speech in D.C. and will give us his take on the man and the speech. What’s the worst that could happen?

Tonight he’ll lay it out for us. Just click the button below at 9 to join us.

Democrat honesty…

Fighting Words, Revisited
Mark Hosenball
NEWSWEEK

Back in 2004, when the Senate intelligence committee began investigating whether public statements by U.S. officials about Saddam Hussein’s pre-invasion Iraq were “substantiated” by existing intel, Republicans controlled Congress and the committee’s inquiry was aimed at figures on both sides of the aisle. The idea was to examine the fighting words of President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney as well as prominent Democrats including Al Gore, Sen. John Kerry and Sen. Hillary Clinton. But Democrats, who took over the panel after winning Senate control in 2006, decided that the final report would examine only statements by “policymakers”—in other words, the Bush administration. So in the report, due out this week, no Democratic comments will be parsed. That includes an Oct. 10, 2002, speech by Clinton in which she criticized Saddam’s WMD ambitions and accused him of giving “aid, comfort and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members.” (Continued…)

GUILTY AS HELL, FREE AS A BIRD. IT’S A GREAT COUNTRY

OBAMA’S PAL BILL AYERS WIPES HIS SHOES ON OUR FLAG. And he did it while hangin’ with “LeBron, baby”.

The blog swarm began with Marathon Pundit’s post last night. Picked up by Michelle Malkin, it has gone viral. We’re kicking it up a notch with this post. TWD said he’d been waiting for a shoe to drop on Obama this weekend, causing Barack Hussein to stumble in the Indiana and N.C. primaries tomorrow. ThirdWaveDave had no idea how prophetic his instincts were. The shoe dropped, alright. Right on Old Glory.

The political bloggers are ALL OVER IT. Now let’s see how long it takes the mainstream media and the radio talkers to bring it forward to the rest of America. Barack’s buddy — still crapping on America.

It’ll be the topic of discussion on my show tonight. Douglas V. Gibbs joins me for the full hour before hosting his show immediately following (see post below). Doors open at 9p ET. “A Conversation with Andrea… on Blog Talk Radio”

Barack. Tonight Stacy McCain of American Spectator with Andrea @ 9

Barack Obama has finally repudiated Wright’s racialized theology. Now can Obama win in November?

Joining us tonight — Robert Stacy McCain, contributing reporter to The American Spectator magazine, who says Barack Obama’s “hope for change” campaign could’ve been salvaged for the Democrats, but now finds his Rev. Wright crisis reminiscent of George McGovern’s fatal 1972 campaign.

The Common Cure for the Conservative tonight @9 ET w/ Andrea

Tonight on the Andrea Shea King Show, one of my favorites will be joining me to talk politics. And you’re invited to eavesdrop. Or call in with your two cents!

Chuck Muth, former exec of the American Conservative Union, President and CEO of Citizen Outreach, political consultant and the all around cure for the common conservative, brings a plethora of stuff to talk about.

Political stuff. McCain, the imitation Democrat. Inside baseball. (Like what’s going on with Republican-turned-Libertarian Bob Barr.) Pet peeves. Major peeves. (Like the TSA gestapo you have to go through at every airport. Or the attack on home schooling. ) Good interesting stuff. Chuck’s connected. And engaged.

We get underway at 9p ET (6p PT). Hit the link then to launch the program:

Alan Levy interviewed in Washington Post

Catch this… from the press department at BlogTalkRadio:

Washington Post: With BlogTalkRadio, the Commentary Universe Expands

Columnist Howard Kurtz has written a piece about BlogTalkRadio in today’s Washington Post that proves we’ve come a long way from talking to “no one.”
In his column Media Notes, Kurtz explains how “With BlogTalkRadio, the Commentary Universe Expands.”
The article talks about the story behind our Citizen Broadcast Network, how some “unlikely stars have been born,” and BlogTalkRadio’s emergence as a tool for more empowering and interactive experiences online.
CEO Alan Levy says:

“It’s great that BlogTalkRadio is recognized by the number one media critic in the country, Howard Kurtz, as “a populist force in cyberspace.” This validates BlogTalkRadio as a powerful online medium that is a true Citizen Broadcast Network. As I said in the article, my Dad would be proud.

From the article: “It’s a great tool,” says James Boyce, who blogs at the Huffington Post and recently took a break from his online show to work for Bill Richardson’s presidential campaign. “There’s no barrier to entry. You set up your own show with simple-to-use technology.”
Alan Levy, 2007. Photo credit Lisa Padilla. We have grown so much since August of 2006. Starting from the ground up, an empty network with no hosts, to our current impressive lineup of content, Kurtz observes that in addition to bloggers, “some better-known people are also gravitating toward the outlet.”

WHERE WAS HILLARY? JACK CASHILL W/ ANDREA @ 9 EDT

Predictably, Hillary, when the National Archives released 11,000 pages of your schedule as first lady, the media focused on the unenlightening and the inconsequential. Where were you when Bill soiled Monica’s blue dress?

Where were you when Bill was impeached? When did you first start work on health care reform?

But Hillary, there is one question that needs to be asked, one that cuts right to your own claim to the presidency: where were you at 3 a.m. on the morning of July 18, 1996?

Jack Cashill asks the question. Tonight he’ll tell us why it’s important that we know.

Join us at 9 p.m. EDT on my internet radio program. Your calls are welcome - 646-478-4604.

Talking about Obama - Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson with Andrea @ 9 p.m. EDT

CONFIRMED!!!
TONIGHT — THE REV. JESSE LEE PETERSON will join us on my radio program with his reaction to Obama’s not-so-mea-culpa to the nation. Peterson doesn’t subscribe to the racism and hate that permeates Barack Obama’s church. And he’s not afraid to say so with (ahem) audacity.

ALSO — LATER IN TONIGHT’S PROGRAM, Jim Purcey makes an encore appearance on the program to talk about the Obama flap and the banking crisis. Jim is the author of AM I THE ONLY AMERICAN WHO THINKS THIS WAY?

Watched Obama’s State of the Union speech this morning… could he have had more American Flags on that stage? This from a presidential candidate who won’t wear a flag pin on his lapel or hold his hand over his heart when the Pledge is recited? Has he visited any of our troops? Do you suppose the sermon at Trinity Church this week will be all inclusive, welcoming, embracing?

Questions, questions, questions…

Did Obama’s paean to his pastor today change my opinion of either men? No. In fact, it did just the opposite — it solidified my observation that Obama is deeply embedded and invested in the “Black Condition” — victimhood, powerlessness, rage against “Whitey” and hatred for the country that their ancestors came to unwillingly (conveniently forgetting or deliberately ignoring that it was African tribal chiefs who sold some of those ancestors to the slave traders).

Maybe that’s because of who and what he is. But I’m not climbing into that box with him. I believe it’s more about the choices he has made over the past 20 or 30 years.

Some info about tonight’s show guest Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson — from his website:

Often referred to as the “antidote to Jesse Jackson”, Rev. Peterson is the author of the “National Day of Repudiation of Jesse Jackson” event. Rev. Peterson is also the man behind the National Boycott of the NAACP, believing the organization to be nothing more than a tool of the largely “elite, socialist” Democratic Party.

Rev. Peterson is the Founder and President of the national nonprofit organization BOND, the Brotherhood Organization of A New Destiny, whose purpose is “Rebuilding the Family By Rebuilding the Man”. He is also the author of the book, “SCAM: How the Black Leadership Exploits Black America”.

Jesse is frequently seen on major TV networks such as Fox, CNN, and MSNBC, consistently leaving his liberal counterpart in knots. His unflappable, can-do attitude and absolute commitment to truth are the perfect medicine for a value-challenged society.

Since 1990, BOND has helped men and their families regain control of their lives and overcome life’s challenges. The commitment of the organization stresses the importance of self-reliance, honesty, and helping others through patience.

TONIGHT AT 9 - The connex between Obama & Rezko

Illinois has a rich and infamous history of political corruption trials, but the trajectory of the case against Antoin “Tony” Rezko — a chief fundraiser for Gov. Rod Blagojevich — may be without parallel. According to the Chicago Trib:

“Boiled to its essence, the prosecution’s complex case against Rezko involves allegations that he and other insiders exploited their relationship with Blagojevich to seek millions of dollars in kickbacks from firms seeking state business or regulatory approval.

The case is attracting nationwide attention, in part because Rezko also befriended Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on his way up the political ladder and prosecutors have signaled that the U.S. senator’s name is likely to come up. Some cash Rezko allegedly obtained through shakedowns of state contractors ended up in Obama’s campaign coffers.”

Our friend, blogger MARATHON PUNDIT (John Ruberry of Illinois) has been following the story since its inception, and he joins us tonight to fill us in about Obama’s connection in this legal tangle. We’ll be keeping an eye on the returns as they come in from the Super Tuesday primaries in Texas, Ohio, Vermont and Rhode Island.

Curtain rises as 9 p.m. Eastern. Chat room doors open right about then too. Thirdwavedave will be there to greet you.

TONIGHT — DR. JACK WHEELER & ATLAS SHRUGS REVISIT ANDREA’S SHOW

In the past few weeks, asking questions has caused quite a stir on the internet, especially when the questions were pointed in the direction of John McCain. Ever since Dr. Jack Wheeler posted “How the Clintons will Destroy John McCain”, bloggers on the right started wetting the bed. For some bloggers, asking any questions about McCain’s service in Viet Nam or his personal conduct since taking a seat in the senate was out of bounds, even shameful.

I don’t see a whole lot of difference between McCain and a democrat, and since our Nation’s stability is circling the drain, I think it’s our duty to ask a few pointed questions. However, the bed-wetters’ rationale is to shut up, get in line, and support the candidate the republican party has put before us, lest we derail his chances in November. Oh, really?

Recently, a new blogger has come forth and, he, too, has some questions. His name is Mark Vance and he blogs at The PatriotMan 1787. Being an expert on our Constitution makes Vance quite familiar with our quadrennial process. In his post, Vance notices one thing that was missed by all:

“The one question no one bothered to ask is: what is the possibility that there might be some truth to the information?”

To know that everything Wheeler mentioned in his article to be untrue would first require a question. And, being that the information proving Wheeler’s assertions one way or the other is under seal, I think, is cause for more than a few questions. But, instead of questions, we get bed-wetting.

In addition to what Vance pointed out, Wheeler predicted McCain would have problems in the area of lobbying, the female kind. And, if I remember correctly, the NYT did a little piece on this very subject last week, one that everyone’s still talking about it. Funny, though, I don’t remember any of the frenzied bloggers on the right making mention of Wheeler’s prediction coming true. Is that the faint scent of credibility I’m smelling here? It could be.

OK, KIDS, GRAB YOUR PLASTIC PANTIES because Dr. Jack Wheeler is coming on our show tonight–again. Andrea will be asking questions too. To sweeten the pot a little, Pam Geller of Atlas Shrugs will be dropping by to join Andrea. (I think she has questions of her own, but I could be wrong) The last time Pam stopped by the show, some listeners declared they would never listen again. Imagine that.

WHEN: Monday at 9 PM ET.

WHERE: The Andrea Shea-King Show on BlogTalkRadio.

WHY: Because some of us do have questions.

The Consequences Of Fantasy

Allegedly Republican U.S. Representative Ron Paul has vacuumed up millions of dollars in contributions to his wacky, windmill-tilting, all-around malodorous gadflying presidential campaign, but meanwhile, back in his Texas district, he’s got a GOP challenger, and that challenger is leaving the elderly bizarro in the fundraising dust (via Newsmax):

Ron Paul has received massive financial support in his run for the presidency, but he’s also seeking re-election in his congressional district — and trailing his opponent in campaign financing.

As of December 31, Chris Peden, a city councilman in Friendswood, Texas, who is challenging Paul for the GOP nomination, had raised twice as much money as Paul for the congressional race.

Paul cannot use funds raised by his presidential campaign in his run for re-election to Congress.

Paul “has not represented this district for some time, in my opinion, as well as it deserves to be represented,” said Peden. “And I think this district has realized that with his campaign for president,” constituents are “looking for a change in leadership.”

I do not, of course, live in RP’s district, so I can’t say firsthand that he is, or has ever been, a, um, representative Representative.  But I find it more than a little hard to believe that his constituents really want to continue to be fronted by a kooky hybrid of Michael Moore,  Robert Taft, and George Lincoln Rockwell.  Maybe they’ve just tired of being embarrassed on a daily basis.  Or perhaps they don’t want all those “Ronulans” moving in down the block.  That’s what the money would appear to indicate.

But Ron Paul’s pointless, aggravating self-insertion into what’s supposed to be a serious process of determining national leadership costing him his congressional seat?  That’s priceless.

He won’t starve, though; there’s bound to be a cable news commentator slot opened up for him someplace.

Keith Olbermann could use a “bipartisan” sidekick.

UPDATE: The man who threw a conniption fit the one time he was excluded from a GOP presidential debate is refusing to debate his own U.S. House challenger?  Does it get any more entertaining than this?

JACK WHEELER - WHAT THE CIA HAS ON McCAIN - TONIGHT AT 9 WITH ANDREA

SPOOKS FROM THE PAST
*** UPDATE ***

Dr. Jack Wheeler’s piece about John McCain has stirred up quite a bit of controversy. Wheeler will join us MONDAY night (2/4) at 9 p.m. EST to talk about his claim that the CIA is holding information that could sink McCain’s bid for the presidency.

“The Andrea Shea King Show - A Conversation with Andrea and…”
I subscribe to Jack Wheeler’s “To The Point News”. Jack is a Washington insider — deep inside. I’ve interviewed him on my radio programs several times and posted about him at The Radio Patriot as well.

In his most recent post, Jack reveals some extraordinary, never before published and shocking information about Sen. John McCain the War Hero and President Bill Clinton. I’ve reprinted it for you here (2nd post from top).
