Crossing The Clintocon

In how much trouble is The Chosen One after his summer of ego trips, personal seals, way-off-Broadway theater, underwhelming and instantly forgotten “historic speeches,” and a mountain of gaffes bigger than Uncle Teddy’s bar tab, and post-convention pussification at the hands of SuperMom?  After doing the obligatory 9/11 Ground Zero memorial ceremony with Maverick, he crawled face-down through South Harlem for a penitant, and doubtless humiliating, audience with Don Clintone:

Clinton kept his answers short when he was asked about his involvement with Obama’s campaign this fall. The former president noted an already-announced trip September 29 to Florida.

Obama said, “We’re putting him to work.”

Asked if he would be doing more, Clinton said, “I’ve agreed to do a substantial number of things, whatever I’m asked to do.”

Before reporters were ushered out, Clinton was asked where he sees the race between Obama and Republican John McCain.

“I predict that Senator Obama will win and win pretty handily,” he said.

Sayeth BILL CLINTON, ladies and gentlemen.  The man who only tells the truth when the lie is more dangerous - to him.

Ensign Ed notices the conspicuous absence of Mr. Bill’s trademark gregarious verbosity and attributes it to an equally conspicuous lack of enthusiasm for the “work” Lucifer is giving him.  Sounds to me like he’s as lukewarm about impeding Barry’s progressing crash & burn as his overbearing spouse.

I take away three somewhat different impressions from this gaping concession of messianic weakness:

1) It’s coming right on the same schedule as John Kerry’s did - you remember, the junior Massachusetts senator who served in Vietnam even more heroically than John McCain did and whose presidency has been even more memorable than BO’s speechifying.

2) It looks and sounds like Barry compromised with himself: I’ll go to Bill and beg for a dose of his Midas touch, but I won’t grovel for that lamp-throwing dragon of his, not even for my throne itself.

3) He’s completely forgotten that Bill Clinton does not have a Midas touch when campaigning for anybody but himself.  Just the opposite, in fact, as NOBODY for whom Bill Clinton has EVER campaigned has EVER won their election.  EVER - including the dragon.

That could be because….well, they don’t call him The Big Me for nothing:

Bill Clinton has always had a way of making himself the story, and he’s at it again.

When the Clintons made a campaign stop at an Iowa grocery store [last December], Hillary’s face said it all. She realized that Bill had departed from the script and wandered off to another part of the store, and cameras caught her scanning the aisles with a look of sheer terror. Bill was supposed to be at Hillary’s side; instead, he was way over yonder, giving an interview to “Entertainment Tonight.” What was supposed to be a controlled photo op had suddenly turned into a happening.

Spontaneity gives ulcers to campaign staffers, but the supermarket stop got much more coverage than it would have if Bill had followed the script. He ended up drawing more attention to himself than the candidate — which is in keeping with his formal campaign speeches. On the stump, he draws big crowds and comes off as charming, eloquent and persuasive. But reporters who have tallied his words say that he talks more about himself than about his wife — at a ratio of about 9 to 1.

In a way, Bill’s part of this velvet sabotage op is easier than Hill’s.  Her only task is to politely do as little as possible for the man who robbed her of her throne; Sick Willie gets to do what comes naturally, further damage another pompous-ass Donk also-ran, and garner credit for being a loyal soldier and party elder statesman at the same time while avoiding blame for sinking another Dem presidential campaign.

Perhaps Barry does realize what’s happening.  He vanquished La Clinton Nostra in the Donk primaries, after all, by turning some of their own patented underhanded skullduggery (race card playing in particular) against them.  He studied them and learned their techniques well.  But that appears to have been his Peter Principle, and now he finds himself in the last postition he imagined and in the last place he wants to be: at the Clintons’ mercy.

It’s like Kane in Alien: the One sees the facehugger coming, knows it’s going to stick an Alien embroyo in his candidacy’s gut, and that embryo is going to burst out of his campaign abdomen, leaving his “hopeandchange” remains a bloody, smoking husk, but there’s nothing he can do about it but hope that he’ll be the exception to The Big Me’s 0-fer bottom line.

I suppose it could help.  But I wouldn’t count on it.

Happily, the Chicago Cherubim no longer has that luxury.

Left Hand, Meet Other Left Hand

….and neither know what the crap they’re doing.

New York Feminine Napkin: Sarah Palin is less experienced than her next fetus!:

It is well past time for Sarah Palin, Republican running mate, governor of Alaska and self-proclaimed reformer, to fill in for the voting public the gaping blanks about her record and qualifications to be vice president. …

Voters have a right to hear Mrs. Palin explain in detail her qualifications to be standby president with no national or foreign policy experience. More is required of any serious candidate for such a high office than one interview with questions put by one selected source.

Hmmm.  Constitutionally, the only qualifications for the job are (1) being at least thirty-five years of age and (2) having a pulse.  Practically - or at least up until George H.W. Bush made the veepancy more relevant than a “bucket of warm [spit]” - the only qualifications were being able to stay awake through state funerals and playing lots and lots and lots of solitaire.  Dick Cheney upgraded the job’s profile even more.

But of course, that isn’t really what the Slimes is getting at.  What they’re really doing is demanding her qualifications to be president in case Darth Queeg gets thrown down a Death Star reactor shaft - or precisely the question they should have been fastballing at Barack Hussein Obama (annnnd Hillary Rodham Clinton) for the past year and a half but somehow have managed to overlook.

Fortunately, one of Barracuda’s fellow governors supplied an answer to the Grey Hag’s well-intentioned query:

Blagojevich, who supports favorite son U.S. Senator Barack Obama for president, today criticized Democrats for belittling the experience of Republican U.S. Senator John McCain’s running mate, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, and took a jab at the work of legislators who run for executive positions…

Blagojevich, who said he spent two summers after high school working on the Alaska pipeline, readily defended the executive experience that governors have in contrast to legislators when it comes to being presidential material.

“I would hope the Democrats wouldn’t say that about a governor,” Blagojevich, a former state legislator and congressman, told [radio host Spike] O’Dell of criticism that the first-term Palin lacks experience.

“The reality is, governors every day have to make decisions for better or for worse. That’s part of the job. It’s an executive position. And it’s a position that is like what you’re going to do when you’re president. Legislators, they do different things. They debate and they pass their bills back and forth,” he said. “But governors make decisions, and I think it’s a tactical mistake for the Democrats to question Governor Palin’s experience when she’s been a governor of a state,” he said. “I don’t think the size of the state is relevant. It’s the kinds of decisions you have to make as governor.

That would be Rod Blagojevich, Obamanoid and Governor of Illinois.

This message indiscipline is the perfect whimsical counterpoint to the Slimes‘ aggrieved pomposity.  And we thought it was just the Donk ticket itself that is more confused than a blind man dropped in a round room and instructed to go pee in the corner.

Not ready to lead?  Try not ready to walk and chew gum simultaneously, or put together two extemporaneous sentences without a long, blank pause, an ”uh,” or an “unfortunate metaphor.”  Compared to Rogaine Messiah and their schitzo followers, Governor Palin is the Rock of Gibralter all by herself.

Walk Vs. Talk

J-Ger notices an intriguing nugget in the latest Fox News poll:

Do you think Barack Obama is a talker or a doer?

Overall: Talker 49%, Doer 34%. Among independents, 55% talker, 26% doer.

Do you think John McCain is talker or a doer?

Overall: Talker, 30%, doer, 54%. Among independents, 21% talker, 58% doer.

Interrrrrresting, as Artie Johnson used to say on Laugh-In.  With McCain having his base locked up, and Obama, well, not, but not hemorrhaging either, the Indy vote is (much as I resent having to concede the cliched wisdom in this instance) where the election will be determined.  This suggests two possible outcomes: if a majority of Indies like what McCain promises, they know he’ll do what he says, and he should win; if a majority of Indies decided they don’t like what McCain promises, Obama should win.  Except that they don’t think he’ll actually do much of what he promises, which perhaps would make him seem like a safer choice, even though all he really is promising to do is….talk.

Perhaps the remainder to the cited results will shed some light on the conundrum:

If you had to make the toughest decision of your life, who would you rather get advice from?

Obama, 34%; McCain, 50%. Among independents it’s Obama 22%, McCain 52%. Interestingly, Biden matches up fairly well against Palin, 39% to her 43%.

This is the “wisdom” question.  McCain beats Barry because he’s ninety - okay, twenty-five - years older than god, who’s only a callow forty-seven, and lived orders of magnitude more than Messiah could ever imagine.  Interesting that that same dynamic doesn’t play out in the Rogaine-’cuda question.  Guess making that “tough” decision not to have Trig scraped out of her innards is counting for more than the nutters want to admit.

Which ticket has more experience combined?

Republicans 52, Democrats 34. Among Independents, it’s Republicans 57, Democrats 25.

Fascinating!  The logic of this answer is that experience is more than just the linear elapsing of time, but has definite qualitative aspects as well.  See “doer vs. talker” and “tough decision advice” above.  Perhaps two years as a Senate dilletante plus a year and a half as a professional presidential candidate, and three and a half decades as the poster boy for term limits is not, after all, the gravitas juggarnaut the Dems and the Enemy Media would have us believe.  Say it ain’t so, Joe!  You know you’re gonna.

But here’s the big uh-oh for Team Hussein:

Which ticket has better judgment combined?

Republicans 47, Democrats 43. Among independents, it’s Republicans 51, Democrats 32.

BO is counting on his “judgment” as being the stand-in for his complete dearth of relevant experience.  He put Joe Biden on his ticket, ostensibly, to compensate for that rookie-ism, presumeably because the “judgment” angle was, and is, a flop.  Now he trails by nineteen on judgment and thirty-two on experience with the demographic he HAS to have even with Biden and Palin included, and after the latter has been hacked to bits with a rusty bat’leth?  Not good, boys and girls, not good.

But chin up, fever swampers, it’s not a complete washout:

Which ticket will bring the right change to Washington?

The Democrats still lead, 46-39. But among independents, it’s Democrats 36, Republicans 38.

Translation: President McCain and Vice President Palin will have to deal with a Donk Congress.

Sounds like a maverick’s dream come true.

Hillary’s Revenge, Continued

Hmmmmm….:

Sarah Palin found some unlikely allies Wednesday as leading academics and even former top aides to Hillary Rodham Clinton endorsed the Republican charge that John McCain’s running mate has been subject to a sexist double standard by the news media and Democrats.

Georgetown University professor Deborah Tannen, who has written best-selling books on gender differences, said she agrees with complaints that Palin skeptics — including prominent voices in the news media — have crossed a line by speculating about whether the Alaska governor is neglecting her family in pursuit of national office.

“What we’re dealing with now, there’s nothing subtle about it,” said Tannen. “We’re dealing with the assumption that child-rearing is the job of women and not men. Is it sexist? Yes.”

“There’s no way those questions would be asked of a male candidate,” said Howard Wolfson a former top strategist for Clinton’s presidential campaign.

This from the same bunch that made a very prominent public spectacle of crying “sexism” against Team Messiah back in the primary season, which was another way of morally condemning Lucifer for denying the Empress her rightful throne - “Sweetiegate” not withstanding.  Just, of course, like the opposite result would have generated snarls of “RACISM!” - and, of course, Obamanation rode that card to nominational victory.  Not a very….practical result given that there are more women voters in the country than African-American voters.

Which makes the defamation campaign against Governor Palin by The One’s nutter surrogates this week all the more self-defeatingly foolish, as evidenced by this rather stark admission of weakness in the face of a genuinely strong woman:

Senator Barack Obama will increasingly lean on prominent Democratic women to undercut Governor Sarah Palin and Senator John McCain, dispatching Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton to Florida on Monday and bolstering his plan to deploy female surrogates to battleground states, Obama advisers said Thursday…

Obama aides said they were counting on not only Mrs. Clinton but also Democratic female governors to rebut Mrs. Palin — and, by extension, Mr. McCain. Those governors include Janet Napolitano of Arizona and Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas…

“What McCain has done with Governor Palin’s nomination is aim right at a demographic that Obama needs to address quickly: noncollege-educated women,” said Mike McCurry, a former spokesman in the Clinton White House. “They need to maximize Biden’s ability to reach out to them, but at the end of the day, it is Obama who has to get that very, very critical group.”…

Advisers to Mrs. Clinton said that she stood ready to help the Obama-Biden ticket, but they urged the campaign not to overestimate the impact Mrs. Clinton could have, noting that she had other commitments this fall, like campaigning and raising money for Senate candidates.

There’s an old joke that goes, “What do you have when you hold two tiny green objects in your hand?  Answer: Kermit’s undivided attention.”  False Messiah rode his ethnicity to the Democrat nomination, but burned quite a few gender bridges behind him en route.  He could have repaired those bridges in one fell swoop by taking Her Nib on as his running mate, even though he would have been condemning himself to four years as a de facto figurehead.  He could also have repaired those bridges by picking Governors Sebelius or Napolitano, or at the very least from the short list of female Donk Senate colleagues, which would have made an undying enemy of Medusa but blunted any attempted sabotage from La Clinton Nostra down the fall home stretch.  Instead, he went with what amounts to a white, twenty-years-older version of himself, Joe “Gaffe-A-Minute” Biden, leaving the door wide open for John McCain to blow everybody away with Sarah Palin.

Now Barack Obama is in the worst place imaginable: right where Hillary Clinton wants him.  At her never-tender mercy.  He needs her to rally the PUMAs to his banner or risk getting swamped by Palinmania, and they both know it.

And in that context comes several top Clintonoids promptly stoking the “sexism” fires again, and Hillary coyly pledging to play the good soldier (heck, she DID put Barry over the top in Denver last week) but dousing it in a deluge of patently phony modesty and “scheduling conflicts.”

Given the dismal fate of pretty much every Democrat for whom Bill and/or Hillary have ever campaigned, I’m baffled that the Chief Stumbling Block wants either of them on the same continent.  I wonder if he realizes just how disappointed Jesse Jackson is going to be to find that Mrs. Clinton got to his own set first.

UPDATE: J-Ger imagines the phone call:

“Hey, sorry about that bitter primary thing, calling your husband racist, and the lack of campaign debt relief. Could you do me a favor and alienate a certain portion of your voters, obliterate your newfound respect from some corners of the right, and incinerate your chance to head a Democratic ticket in 2012 by making a kamikaze run at America’s newest sweetheart, in order to save my tuchus? Thanks.”

After the Interview With Dr. Jerome Corsi

Friday night on Political Pistachio Radio Dr. Jerome Corsi, author of “The Obama Nation, Leftist Politics And The Cult of Personality,” was my guest. He was on for about a half an hour, after which time he lost his cell phone signal. He was giving me this interview while travelling on a train to Washington D.C.

At the beginning of the program I asked Dr. Corsi about the criticisms The Obama Nation has been receiving. I pointed out how liberals and conservatives alike have been hammering it, saying that the book has untruths in it that, in their opinion, make it nothing more than just another attempt to use smear tactics to discredit Barack Obama. I pointed out that Media Matters and Hugh Hewitt are for once in agreement on something. The Next Right wrote a blistering criticism of Corsi, calling him a “smear artist,” and “embarrassing for conservatives.”

I also brought up Debbie Schlussel’s past criticisms of him, to the point that she has accused him of plagiarism, and Corsi said simply, “Well, I don’t read Debbie anymore.”

Dr. Corsi was immediately on the defense when the interview delved deeper into the criticisms of The Obama Nation, proclaiming that he doesn’t know “why” the response is as it is, after all, “I am no psychiatrist.” Media Matters, as recently as face to face with Corsi on Larry King Live, has been one of the left leaning sites that have been most critical of the book, and in response, Corsi said, “I don’t read Media Matters. If asked would I rather read Media Matters, Debbie Schlussel, or jump off a tall building, I’m gonna ask you, ‘well, how tall’s the building?’ Because it is the best choice of the three.” He later said, “This group of radical leftists paid by [George] Soros with a mission to discredit conservatives, this isn’t the kind of group I think we should feel compelled to be answering all the time. Our side seems to think, ‘Well, I don’t want to be criticized, we don’t wanna look bad.’ The more Media Matters criticizes me, the better I like it, and the less I intend to read it. . . we can talk about Media Matters about as long as I can tolerate it, and I’m already close to my limit.”

When I mentioned that Media Matters has gone into questioning a lot of items in the book, meaning to state that they have detailed individual items as falsehoods, Corsi quickly responded, “Who cares. I don’t care. . . my comment on Media Matters is, Who Cares?” Later in the show he also added, “I think that Media Matters wouldn’t know a serious flaw if it bit ‘em in the behind. I can’t stand Media Matters. I don’t think Media Matters does anything of worth. . . If you think there’s a serious flaw, what is it? When you mention Media Matters, I am thinking that I am wasting my time listening for the next two minutes. . . if you want to talk to me about Media Matters, I’m out.”

When the Obama Campaign was mentioned, Dr. Corsi proclaimed, “Barack Obama’s people don’t want people reading what’s in this book,” because it’s “over the target.”

He was also careful to explain that he is not some cocktail drinking Washington Elitist, saying: “I’m not a part of the Washington Establishment…name dropping, Washington, cocktail party establishment, and I’m never gonna be a part of that, because that is not who I am.”

In defense of the accusation of Jerome Corsi appearing Sunday on the show, The Political Cesspool, which is being called by Media Matters an example of Jerome Corsi associating with White Supremacists since the show’s host is admittedly pro-White and has stated in the past that “Interracial sex is white genocide,” Jerome Corsi responded: “Appearing on a show is not an endorsement of the host. . . I do a 120 shows, and do most of the shows that come to me. If I had to agree with every talk show host. . . I’d never go on any shows. Being on a show does not mean I endorse a host’s views. . . I have even been on Liberal shows, and I sure don’t endorse them.”

When I stated in the interview that I agree with him for the most part regarding his theories regarding “The North American Union Conspiracy,” Jerry responded with a smile in his voice, “That’ll make you a nut to those guys, you better be careful about agreeing with me about anything.”

Tony Rezko was brought up near the latter part of the interview, and when asked about Rezko, Dr. Corsi became more comfortable in the interview, and began to show me his skills as the investigative reporter he has become so known for. The connections between Obama, Iraq, and Rezko is staggering, according to Dr. Corsi. The timing of the deal regarding Obama’s property is more than coincidental. He said in the interview, “It certainly looks more than suspicious. And now Obama is trying to explain how all of this relates. And what is the relationship? I don’t know if I was working with anybody, first of all, I can’t imagine that I would ever want to be associated with someone like Rezko, let alone taking campaign contributions from him, or, um, letting him be involved in buying a property with me. I’m asking — what I am saying is, I am not definitively concluding anything, I’m just saying that these questions aren’t being sufficiently asked in the Chicago newspaper’s research, they are reporting them. I’m asking the same questions the Chicago papers are asking, which Obama has not truly answered. To answer them fully, you might need the authority of a prosecutor. You might need the authority of a criminal investigator. You might even need the authority of a Grand Jury.”

What has risen is questions that are not being answered, and that is what Jerry Corsi is trying to do with this book. The anger about his book, Corsi claimed on Political Pistachio Radio, is because he’s asking questions that the left may not want to answer. He is raising questions, and in response his attackers are claiming he is saying that each of those questions are his definitive argument. Specifically, Corsi said, “I’m an investigative reporter saying, ‘Okay, here’s the issue,’ and I’m raising a question about [these issues]. Now, I’m not a prosecutor, I don’t have subpoena power. I don’t have grand jury power. I can’t tell testimony. But, you know, if I were in those positions, I might well consider doing so. [But,] I’m not. I’m an investigative reporter. I just raise questions. And I don’t say anywhere in the book, I don’t say anything definitive about it more than ‘this looks suspicious.’ There are some things that are pretty definitive. You know, I’m positive that the Frank in Dreams of my Father is Frank Marshall Davis, but even in his rebuttal it confirms that. I don’t think there is any question that Frank is Frank Marshall Davis, we’ve established that. Now, whether the loan was involved in the purchase of the Obama dream property, I can’t say for sure one way or the other. I just ask questions.”

Dr. Corsi also told me on the show that it is hard to understand this man, meaning Obama. He has enough intelligence to get a Harvard Law Degree, but he can’t figure out in twenty minutes that something was not right with Rezko.

In short, this book raises questions on particular issues, suggests evidence to what the answer to the questions may be, to the extent that there are some serious problems with Obama’s character and history, but Barack Obama won’t answer the questions. Usually, when he does respond to these questions, the response is either a lie, or a different tale from the last time he answered the question. Obama doesn’t like the fact that he is being associated with people like Rezko or Ayers. It’s not that he regrets the connections, he simply regrets they have been found out, and is now trying to talk his way out of these alleged connections with criminals, communists and terrorists.

Corsi believes he has provided more than enough evidence in this book to substantiate many of the questions raised in The Obama Nation. Corsi asks, “Why did it take Obama so long to conclude that Rezko was a shady character?” As I brought up later in the interview, it goes along with allowing twenty years before he decided his pastor was a racist, anti-American blow-hard. And Obama only made the decision to separate himself from Wright when the pressure to do so became too great.

Is Jerome Corsi an Embarrassing Liar? Or Is His Book, The Obama Nation, A Well Documented Piece of Political Literature?

Obama Nation Book by Jerome Corsi Draws Criticism - Corsi is my guest tonight on BTR

Tonight on Political Pistachio Radio Dr. Jerome Corsi must meet controversy head on!

Dr. Jerome Corsi, staff writer for World Net Daily, has suddenly found himself in the midst of a violent storm of controversy. The WND writer, this week alone, has been the object of numerous television and radio shows as the media tries to wade through the information contained in the book, and determine if the book is truly filled with falsehoods, or is a well researched piece of literature that takes a close and hard look at the Democratic Presidential front-runner, Barack Obama.

The book at the center of the controversy is, The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality. The Huffington Post calls the book, “…one of the worst political books ever written. Corsi piles distortion upon innuendo to create a gigantic heap of right-wing garbage, with a seemingly endless parade of basic factual errors running through the text like rats. Corsi’s book is an embarrassment to the craft of journalism, and any of the conservatives who have praised and promoted it should feel humiliated at how bad it truly is.” Media Matters writes that The Obama Nation “contains numerous falsehoods about Sen. Barack Obama.” Even Conservative talk show host and Townhall writer Hugh Hewitt exclaims about the book, “Corsi’s from the fringe. . . the book contains errors.”

Hugh Hewitt, however, also points out that the Obama Campaign has given us an “absurd set of non-responsive responses,” and that, “Now they botch a gimmie — defining Corsi as a nut while not putting attention on the charges he leveled.”

Sean Hannity has stated that The Obama Nation “may have made his [Obama’s] campaign a bit nervous.”

Joseph Farah, founder of World Net Daily, says about the controversy surrounding the book, and Jerome Corsi, “Unlike most of the critics of The Obama Nation, I have actually read the book from cover to cover. It is a thoroughly well-documented piece of first-rate journalism. Are there mistakes in it? Show me a first edition that doesn’t have some – other than the Bible. But is it truthful? Does it add considerably to the public’s knowledge of the front-running candidate for the presidency? Do we know much more about Obama than we would had we relied exclusively for our information from the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post and the Associated Press? I offer a resounding ‘yes’ to all three of those questions. I am privileged to call him my friend, colleague and co-worker. I stand with Jerry Corsi today as he is viciously maligned by an attack media that would prefer to aim its potent artillery at a man who dared to do their job when they refused, when they laid down, when they sucked up, when they failed to ask the tough questions, when they took sides.”

In response, Barack Obama’s advisers have been tracking Corsi’s media appearances, quickly telephoning producers to react to the book’s charges, and last night, the Democratic presidential candidate’s campaign issued a 40-page response to the book.

The Democratic National Committee has its own rapid response team to take aim at Corsi’s book, saying, “One of the most vile smear peddlers of the 2004 election has found a new target. We cannot afford to let Corsi get away with the same dirty tricks that fooled so many people in 2004. We can’t rely on the media to hold him accountable – in fact, the sheer brazenness of the lies is attracting even more coverage. The media have shown that they aren’t going to stop him. It’s up to you to spread the truth.”

So, what is the truth? Is this book a classic smear job? Or is Corsi’s book simply caught up in the crosshairs of the leftists because it hits a chord? Is Dr. Jerome Corsi a discredited liar peddling garbage in order to help continue Bush-Cheney politics? Or is he a simply being lynched by the mainstream media and Democratic Party for daring to write the truth? Be the judge yourself. Read the book, and listen to what Dr. Jerome Corsi has to say tonight on Political Pistachio Radio.
The show airs live at 10:00 pm Eastern Time, but will be archived for later listening for those unable to listen live. Access the program HERE.

Barack Obama’s Record Examined Closely on Political Pistachio

“The Case Against Barack Obama” book by David Freddoso

The record of Barack Obama, throughout his political career, demonstrates conclusively that Obama is hardly a reformer. His image of “Hope and Change” is actually a huge lie. There is not a single instant in Obama’s political career where he did something for the sake of reforms and change.

Obama also has a shady history. The skeletons in his closet are of far-left positions, and political corruption. His campaign, like those of most left-wing Democrats, is about using the taxpayer’s money to stay in power, and benefit his political cronies.

The Barack Obama Campaign is very much about the old politics, not some new swing of hope and change. He is the epitomy of the corrupt politician, and he is surrounded by the corrupt as well.

David Freddoso is a reporter that was watching his fellow columnists and journalists fawn over Barack Obama, and it seemed a little overboard to him. So he began to investigate Obama, looking closely at Barack’s record. The resulting conclusion, and many detailed revelations about Barack Obama, has been put into the book, “The Case Against Barack Obama.” David is my guest tonight on Political Pistachio Radio to discuss the book, and Barack Obama.

Join us live at 10:00 pm Eastern Time for the interview, or you can check out the archive later. Go HERE for the program.

Since When Is Exposing Truth An Attack?

~Snooper~

David Zublick has a piece posted at Heading Right and America Talks. I find it oddly curious that whenever Czarbama is shown to be a liar, crook and charlatan, his handlers and fellow sloths consider it an attack. To me, an attack would be saying something about Czarbama that was not true yet passing it off as Truth. You know, like what Czarbama does to McCain or anyone else that gets in his way.

The misleading headlines around the internet that Gore made, Nancy’s words not mine, are as follows: Poll: McCain’s Attack Strategy Paying Dividends…you can call them attack ads if you so desire but what they actually are is explaining to the American People and the world what an empty suit Czarbama is.

David Zublic ends his piece thusly:

[…] As some have stated, this election is not McCain versus Obama. It’s Obama versus himself. And John McCain needs to point out the dangers of electing someone who fancies himself a god. [END]

Czarbama summed up in three sentences is quite a feat. The accuracy of those three sentences are uncanny in their context. I guess we should consider them “attacks”?  Not hardly.  Truth stings at times.

Nevertheless, the Truth Ads that the McCain Camp has issued these past few weeks are deadly aimed and intensely accurate. In some way, I hope that the following application is accurate. I will leave that up to others to decide but, for the time being, I believe so.

The recent activity of the GOP in regards to the Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less campaign is not a “stunt” but a brave and courageous step that we conservatives have been demanding, hoping and praying for…for a very long time. This recent “stone growing”, I believe, is in conjunction with the McCain Camp stepping it up a bit. Czarbama and the Leftinistra need to be stopped in their tracks and stopped hard and stopped fast. It is going to hurt but that cannot be helped.

As is evidenced by a piece by Cenk Uygur at the Leftinistra hang out called Huff and Puff, they realize that Czarbama has got got and he has got got hard. He is between a rock and another rock with bigger rocks rolling in his general direction. He has nowhere to go but down and away, slipping into the Great Abyss of Obscurity - reluctantly, naturally.

The article I am talking about is entitled, “Why John McCain Has Caught Barack Obama and What Obama Can Do About It“. I have a suggestion. He can bow out now, gracefully and shrink back to Chicago where his “questionable antics” and associations will welcome him back into the Al Capone collective. That would be a good start.

With that said, here are the first two paragraphs of the “packed full of dashed hopes of change we cannot accept”.

There are two principal reasons why John McCain has caught Barack Obama in the national polls. 1) McCain has changed the whole conversation about this election into one question - do you want to vote for or against Obama? This is genius. Obama needs to switch the conversation if he wants to win. 2) Obama has only played defense so far and has not attacked at all. This is weakness and a sure-fire way to lose an election.

The question in this election should be whether Americans want another four years of Republican rule. We just went through a disastrous eight years and the Republican nominee agrees with the president who brought us that disaster on nearly every single issue. McCain wants even more tax cuts, even more war, even more rights for oil companies and even larger deficits. Do the American people want four more years of that? […]

More lies in print. The entire article misses the mark totally. Czarbama has got got because the American People are beginning to see straight through the upstart Czarbama and witnessing his inability to lead and speak coherently without a teleprompter. They see and hear him change positions faster than our Troops WISH they could change their socks. They see and hear him hold two differing positions on a wide variety of issues in the SAME interview. They see and hear him travel to other nations and besmirch our country and its people and its Troops on foreign soil after he said that he would never do that.

Czarbama got got because he is a liar. End of discussion. BDS has started to come home to roost. A political party can only live on hate of another for so long before that cancer of hate devours its owners.

Teflon? How about the Crystal Candidate?

It is being said the Mr. Obama is the amazing teflon candidate. It did not seem to matter what happened. Nothing was sticking to Mr. Obama. It did not seem to matter that he was in a church for 18 years under a pastor that preached hate and division. It did not seem to matter that Mr. Obama said that he during all that time had NEVER heard those things. It did not seem to matter that Mr. Obama had and continues a professional relationship with a man that was and still is proud of his homegrown terrorist acts. Mr. Obama has yet to denounce this man and it does not seem to matter. Its like someone sprayed Mr. Obama with a healthy coat of PAM for baking!

But as time has rolled on I have noticed one thing though. Any and all criticism, questioning, disagreement or silence about anything Mr. Obama has said will be dealt with quickly and harshly! Its like his supporters and handlers are very afraid that Mr. Obama’s feelings will be hurt. Its like Mr. Obama’s campaign would be brought to a screeching halt if I said something against Mr. Obama on my blogtalkradio show. Like I have that great power. Well it took a while to figure it out but I have it!

Mr. Obama is not the great Teflon man but the crystal candidate! We must all treat him and his campaign with great care. The rough treatment that the left gave to the campaigns of President Bush and now Sen. McCain would simply destroy the campaign of Mr. Obama. According to CNN, TV One, BET, MTV, MySpace,Tiger Beat, MSNBC, Jet, Ebony,Essence, TV Guide, New York Times, Atlanta Constitution and Kayne West, rough treatment of Mr. Obama’s campaign might indeed damage the chance to make history. The delicate nature of this can not upset by asking a question about Mr. Obama’s qualifications concerning the military. Please no shouting about why Mr. Obama wants an armed non-military state-side force that will be larger and better funded than the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, and the Coast Guard are now. All that shouting will cause cracks in the crystal goblet of hope and change. The campaign has no time to answer questions about drilling! All that drilling would make too much noise! That noise might shake that goblet off the shelf of elitism and have it crash to the floor of real world! And we simply can not have that!

Briefing Booklet

GREAT READ! Spread to your friends on the blogs! Major H/T to Mike @ Mike’s America for putting me on to this nugget. Go and download the document that McCain supporters handed to reporters leaving on the trip with the messiah, excuse me, Senator.

McCain is Right. Obama is Wrong.

It is laughable that Obama supporters pretend his opinion regarding Iraq even approximates reality. Simply put, General David Petraeus - with the considerable assistance of John McCain - crafted the current SUCCESSFUL strategy. Obama has proven to be wrong over and over, except on the occasions when he arrives at positions long held my McCain.

McCain is fit, qualified, tested and ready to be President and Commander in Chief. Obama is fit, qualified, tested and ready for bu tone job: Poseur in Chief.

ARLINGTON, VA — Today, McCain 2008 Senior
Foreign Policy Advisor Randy Scheunemann issued the following statement:

“The difference between John McCain and Barack Obama is that Barack Obama advocates an unconditional withdrawal that ignores the facts on the ground and the advice of our top military commanders. John McCain believes withdrawal must be based on conditions on the ground. Prime Minister Maliki has repeatedly affirmed the same view, and did so again today. Timing is not as important as whether we leave with victory and honor, which is of no apparent concern to Barack Obama. The fundamental truth remains that Senator McCain was right about the surge and Senator Obama was wrong. We would not be in the position to discuss a responsible withdrawal today if Senator Obama’s views had prevailed.”

THE AMERICAN SPECTATOR COMES A CALLIN’ TONIGHT AT 9 WITH ANDREA

Some of Washington’s best and brightest conservative writers can be found at The American Spectator, a daily online magazine (often mentioned by el Rushbo who frequently includes it in his “stack of stuff’) that features conservative perspectives and analyses on the day’s events and issues.

ON THE RADIO! Tonight at 9 ET we’ll be talking to two of these sharp political writers.

Robert Stacy McCain asks the question: Is there a clear reason for Republicans’ defeatist mood? His take… not quite. A Rasmussen Presidential polling shows the candidates are head-to-head.

“Despite the dispirited state of the GOP, the ideological muddling of the McCain campaign, and the media accolades for Obama, it is far from a foregone conclusion that Hope and Change will triumph Nov. 4.”

“Obamamaniacs were thrilled by last month’s Newsweek poll showing their candidate ahead by 15 points. Alas for the apostles of Hope, either that poll was a statistical mirage or else the mass movement toward Obama quickly receded, and Newsweek reported last week that his lead is now an insignificant 3 percentage points.”

Midway through the program, Philip Klein will join us to add to the conversation. He was quoted this week in USA TODAY’s article on controversial The New Yorker magazine cover. Philip also attended Senator Obama’s Iraq speech in D.C. and will give us his take on the man and the speech. What’s the worst that could happen?

Tonight he’ll lay it out for us. Just click the button below at 9 to join us.

Obamania III

Because threda is betta, and the Messiah is STILL spinning so rapidly that he’s about to phase out of the space-time continuum, and I finally found a way for all this crapola to be crammed into a single hour.

And because….

….absent a laptop, he’ll be off on another family obligation next week.  Further bulletins as they happen.

General Confirmation.

WASHINGTON, July 10, 2008 – The Senate has confirmed Army Gen. David H. Petraeus as commander of U.S. Central Command and Army Lt. Gen. Raymond T. Odierno to receive his fourth star and succeed Petraeus as commander of Multinational Force Iraq.

95-2 Victory, so I decided to see if my logic was correct and if the “2″ were democrats. Sure enough Senator Byrd (WV) and Senator Harkin (IA) opted to give the middle finger to the good General. And even though Kennedy came in to vote this week he opted not to vote, but given his medical condition I give him a pass. In addition Harkin said “nay” to Odierno.

HOWEVER, Both Presidential Candidates opted not to vote. Now I am not sure where in the country or world they are right now but I think that is pathetic. Granted we know where McCain would have stood “yea” in both counts. But Senator Obama…wonder where he would have been. I guess just add this to another group of “not present” or “present” votes which hold no real conviction.

COL. ALLEN WEST, CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE ON WITH ANDREA TONIGHT @ 9 ET

Listen to The Andrea Shea King Show on internet talk radio

In response to Obama’s claim that Republicans will use race to stoke fear, Lt. Col Allen West, candidate for Congress in Florida’s 22 District (Broward County) said this:

My advice to Senator Obama is to run as a Man and Leader, and the American people will evaluate you as such, not as a victim. This is a Presidential race, based solely on a capacity to lead the United States of America. It is not about skin tone…however, perhaps we should come to expect these immature statements.

It also seems rather humorous that the Presidential candidate who was supposed to be such a “uniter” and transcend race is the one talking about it the most. If Senator Obama was confident in his abilities and character, he would not need to create a crutch for failure. Senator Obama has just tipped his hand, any criticism of him and his policies will be directly attributed to racism. I congratulate Senator Obama for taking race relations in America back some 30 years.

West has faced down the world’s terrorists: in Operation Desert Storm, in Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he was battalion commander for the Army’s 4th Infantry Division, and in Afghanistan, where he trains Afghan officers to take on the responsibility of securing their own country.

In 2004, when it was time to retire from more than twenty years of service in the US Army, he brought his wife and two young daughters to Broward County, Florida, where he taught high school. He then returned to Afghanistan as an advisor to the Afghan army, an assignment he finished in November 2007.

In his Army career, Col. West has been honored many times, including a Bronze Star, three Meritorious Service Medals, three Army Commendation Medals (one with Valor), and a Valorous Unit Award. He received his valor award as a Captain in Desert Shield/Storm, was the US Army ROTC Instructor of the Year in 1993, and was a Distinguished Honor Graduate III Corps at Fort Hood, Texas Air Assault School.

Tonight at 9 pm ET, we’ll spend some time with Col. West, getting his views on the War, our dependence on foreign oil, illegal immigration, Israel, Iraq, and Congress’ dismal approval rating, today at an all time low of 9%.
