Talking about Obama - Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson with Andrea @ 9 p.m. EDT

CONFIRMED!!!
TONIGHT — THE REV. JESSE LEE PETERSON will join us on my radio program with his reaction to Obama’s not-so-mea-culpa to the nation. Peterson doesn’t subscribe to the racism and hate that permeates Barack Obama’s church. And he’s not afraid to say so with (ahem) audacity.

ALSO — LATER IN TONIGHT’S PROGRAM, Jim Purcey makes an encore appearance on the program to talk about the Obama flap and the banking crisis. Jim is the author of AM I THE ONLY AMERICAN WHO THINKS THIS WAY?

Watched Obama’s State of the Union speech this morning… could he have had more American Flags on that stage? This from a presidential candidate who won’t wear a flag pin on his lapel or hold his hand over his heart when the Pledge is recited? Has he visited any of our troops? Do you suppose the sermon at Trinity Church this week will be all inclusive, welcoming, embracing?

Questions, questions, questions…

Did Obama’s paean to his pastor today change my opinion of either men? No. In fact, it did just the opposite — it solidified my observation that Obama is deeply embedded and invested in the “Black Condition” — victimhood, powerlessness, rage against “Whitey” and hatred for the country that their ancestors came to unwillingly (conveniently forgetting or deliberately ignoring that it was African tribal chiefs who sold some of those ancestors to the slave traders).

Maybe that’s because of who and what he is. But I’m not climbing into that box with him. I believe it’s more about the choices he has made over the past 20 or 30 years.

Some info about tonight’s show guest Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson — from his website:

Often referred to as the “antidote to Jesse Jackson”, Rev. Peterson is the author of the “National Day of Repudiation of Jesse Jackson” event. Rev. Peterson is also the man behind the National Boycott of the NAACP, believing the organization to be nothing more than a tool of the largely “elite, socialist” Democratic Party.

Rev. Peterson is the Founder and President of the national nonprofit organization BOND, the Brotherhood Organization of A New Destiny, whose purpose is “Rebuilding the Family By Rebuilding the Man”. He is also the author of the book, “SCAM: How the Black Leadership Exploits Black America”.

Jesse is frequently seen on major TV networks such as Fox, CNN, and MSNBC, consistently leaving his liberal counterpart in knots. His unflappable, can-do attitude and absolute commitment to truth are the perfect medicine for a value-challenged society.

Since 1990, BOND has helped men and their families regain control of their lives and overcome life’s challenges. The commitment of the organization stresses the importance of self-reliance, honesty, and helping others through patience.

TONIGHT AT 9 - The connex between Obama & Rezko

Illinois has a rich and infamous history of political corruption trials, but the trajectory of the case against Antoin “Tony” Rezko — a chief fundraiser for Gov. Rod Blagojevich — may be without parallel. According to the Chicago Trib:

“Boiled to its essence, the prosecution’s complex case against Rezko involves allegations that he and other insiders exploited their relationship with Blagojevich to seek millions of dollars in kickbacks from firms seeking state business or regulatory approval.

The case is attracting nationwide attention, in part because Rezko also befriended Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on his way up the political ladder and prosecutors have signaled that the U.S. senator’s name is likely to come up. Some cash Rezko allegedly obtained through shakedowns of state contractors ended up in Obama’s campaign coffers.”

Our friend, blogger MARATHON PUNDIT (John Ruberry of Illinois) has been following the story since its inception, and he joins us tonight to fill us in about Obama’s connection in this legal tangle. We’ll be keeping an eye on the returns as they come in from the Super Tuesday primaries in Texas, Ohio, Vermont and Rhode Island.

Curtain rises as 9 p.m. Eastern. Chat room doors open right about then too. Thirdwavedave will be there to greet you.

IT’S ABOUT CONNECTIVITY, BABY!

I LO-O-O-V-E RADIO. I love the medium — the ability it has to entertain, inform, interact with listeners. I’ve done television and though it was a blast, it is a cool medium. One-way. But radio is white hot. Immediate. Very now, baby!

A year ago I was hosting Constitutional Public Radio (”CPR for the Heart of America”), an afternoon drive talk show broadcast on a 50,000 watt blowtorch that was heard up and down Florida’s East Coast. The station was a privately owned religious outlet that served up Christian ministries for breakfast, followed later in the day with syndicated conservative talk show fare. Taking the analogy a step further, we offered “CPR” as a two-hour dinnertime appetizer. It was a great place to be broadcasting our show where on a daily basis, we interviewed top national news makers, experts, and even the occasional entertainment personality with a conservative bent.

We took listeners’ phone calls, but we did something else that brought the show up to the next level — a live show on-line chat room. Nicknamed the “Big Blue Ballroom” because of its background screen color, the live chat feature let us interact real-time with our internet listeners who were tuning in on the internet stream that ran concurrent with our over-the-air terrestrial signal. They commented on show topics, typed in questions for our guests, chatted among themselves and became our regular “VIP section” listeners. While their numbers grew, there was always room in the front row for one or two more!

Among those who joined us nearly every day were Anna from Akron, Julie from Stowe Vt., David from Warrenton Va., Lone Star Pundit from Houston, Geoff from St. Louis, Marathon Pundit from Chicago, Lucky Dawg from Albuquerque, Mary Ann from Cleveland, Brainster from Phoenix, SCEagle from Germany, Blogmeister from New York City, Bud from Satellite Beach, Dean from Palm Bay, Gawfer from Southern California, and ThirdWaveDave from Northern California.

They all became more than part of the show. They became family. Because of his interest in what we were trying to accomplish with the program, ThirdWaveDave later joined the team as unofficial show/political advisor, and now helps produce both of my BTR and WDBO shows.

The immensely popular online live Chat Room has been a hallmark of my radio programs since we launched it nearly four years ago on my Sunday night show on WDBO. And if I may take a moment to boast — our live chat room feature put us WAY ahead of any other talk show. What was designed to connect my official radio show website with the radio program has become a staple ingredient in the shows’ success.

One afternoon last Spring, Ed Morrissey of Captain’s Quarters was my guest. He told us he had left his job as a call center manager to jump aboard a new phenom called “Blog Talk Radio“, which was bringing blogging to a new level — interactive radio via the internet.

Total internet radio. Total programming freedom. No advertiser worries. No ad revenue to generate. In other words, carefree radio. Wow! And best of all — it was FREE. I was intrigued.

Not long after Ed’s appearance, I contemplated the notion of moving CPR exclusively to the internet on Blog Talk Radio. Ed and I spoke again, he “hooked me up”, and the rest is “histoire”!

In the 11 months since I’ve been there, Blog Talk Radio has experienced explosive growth . It’s had its growing pains too — it’s a nascent technology — but the possibilities are as exciting as any media I’ve ever experienced.

Thousands of amateur radio hosts are already making a name for themselves and have developed hundreds of followers who “tune in” to hear the show live or later at a time of their own convenience to hear it archived.

Just to show you how successful this little idea hatched by BTR’s CEO Alan Levy is, this week BTR is profiled in Conde Nast’s “Portfolio.com”:

“(Shaun) Dailey’s program airs on BlogTalkRadio.com, an enterprise that, in 18 months, has become the dominant player in the latest media trend, one that allows anyone with a Web connection to host a talk show on any topic at any time of day. It is the newest form of new media; the audio version of the internet blog.

“Everybody in our world—when I’m talking about our world I’m talking about over-the-air broadcasting and our media universe—is obviously watching this phenomenon closely and adapting as we go along,” says Dennis Wharton, spokesman for the National Association of Broadcasters.

Aspiring broadcasters log on and select the length, time slot, genre, and topic of their show. BlogTalk provides the internet broadcast capability and a telephone system that allows hosts to take live callers, all for free.

It sounds like the kind of service that would draw U.F.O. watchers and religious prophesiers—and it does. But internet talk radio is also rapidly getting attention from prominent hosts, guests, and broadcasting companies—especially in the wake of the blog phenomenon, which mainstream media outlets were slow to accept. (my emphasis)

[…]

With its 40,000-plus shows, BlogTalk can bring in more than two million listeners each month, according to the company. In December, the site enjoyed about 80,000 listeners a day. That makes it a gnat compared to, say, National Public Radio, whose listenership over the last year has remained steady at 26 million. But BlogTalk is one of a half-dozen startups hoping to dominate the online talk space, and it has been growing fast.

“I think that [BlogTalk] represents something that’s far greater than itself,” says Michael Harrison, publisher of Talkers magazine, a leading talk-radio-industry trade publication. “There’s a whole bunch of new Web-based entities that I predict will be the media stations of the future.”

[…]

The online amateur-radio niche is still sparsely populated, and as yet, largely undefined. BlogTalk is one of the few companies that currently offers a medium explicitly designed to emulate traditional radio, and this may be part of the key to the company’s relative success.

Not surprisingly, Alan Levy, BlogTalk’s founder and C.E.O., believes companies like these will eventually come to replace traditional radio altogether. “To me, the reason why NPR or CBS Radio News is big is because right now, the only way to listen to the radio…is terrestrial,” he says. “When there are other alternatives…you’re going to see these audiences vanish; they’ll migrate to places that they want.”

Levy’s hype aside, some in traditional radio admit that services like his will likely start coming into the mainstream very soon. “It all comes down to the show,” said Walter Sabo, C.E.O. of Sabo Media, a consulting firm that counts a number of radio networks, including Sirius Satellite Radio (and Parade magazine, which is owned by Condé Nast’s parent company) among its clients. “People listen to shows that they like and if the show is good, it doesn’t matter what the source is. The medium itself is meaningless.”

The internet is THE new medium. Right now, I’m writing this post which will appear on my internet website, while I listen to my favorite music on Slacker, an internet radio that plays my preferred selection (today it’s smooth jazz) in a constant stream, commercial free. In just a bit, I’ll log on to watch “el Rushbo” on the ditto-webcam as he does his show. After that? Any one of my pick of show offerings at Blog Talk Radio.

The internet has opened a world where I’ve made new friends with common interests and shared enthusiasms. We converse by instant chat on Yahoo Instant Message, we occasionally play a game of backgammon, share files, and communicate via email. Every week I record a fresh installment and upload it as an MP3 file to an ftp folder where it magically appears on the radio magazine Voice of Liberty Podcast Network. It’s a whole new world at my fingertips.

This new medium is accessible to anyone with a computer, internet connection and a telephone or VoIP service such as Skype. Connectivity, baby. The name of the new game. I’m delighted to be part of it. I love the new radio!

TONIGHT — DR. JACK WHEELER & ATLAS SHRUGS REVISIT ANDREA’S SHOW

In the past few weeks, asking questions has caused quite a stir on the internet, especially when the questions were pointed in the direction of John McCain. Ever since Dr. Jack Wheeler posted “How the Clintons will Destroy John McCain”, bloggers on the right started wetting the bed. For some bloggers, asking any questions about McCain’s service in Viet Nam or his personal conduct since taking a seat in the senate was out of bounds, even shameful.

I don’t see a whole lot of difference between McCain and a democrat, and since our Nation’s stability is circling the drain, I think it’s our duty to ask a few pointed questions. However, the bed-wetters’ rationale is to shut up, get in line, and support the candidate the republican party has put before us, lest we derail his chances in November. Oh, really?

Recently, a new blogger has come forth and, he, too, has some questions. His name is Mark Vance and he blogs at The PatriotMan 1787. Being an expert on our Constitution makes Vance quite familiar with our quadrennial process. In his post, Vance notices one thing that was missed by all:

“The one question no one bothered to ask is: what is the possibility that there might be some truth to the information?”

To know that everything Wheeler mentioned in his article to be untrue would first require a question. And, being that the information proving Wheeler’s assertions one way or the other is under seal, I think, is cause for more than a few questions. But, instead of questions, we get bed-wetting.

In addition to what Vance pointed out, Wheeler predicted McCain would have problems in the area of lobbying, the female kind. And, if I remember correctly, the NYT did a little piece on this very subject last week, one that everyone’s still talking about it. Funny, though, I don’t remember any of the frenzied bloggers on the right making mention of Wheeler’s prediction coming true. Is that the faint scent of credibility I’m smelling here? It could be.

OK, KIDS, GRAB YOUR PLASTIC PANTIES because Dr. Jack Wheeler is coming on our show tonight–again. Andrea will be asking questions too. To sweeten the pot a little, Pam Geller of Atlas Shrugs will be dropping by to join Andrea. (I think she has questions of her own, but I could be wrong) The last time Pam stopped by the show, some listeners declared they would never listen again. Imagine that.

WHEN: Monday at 9 PM ET.

WHERE: The Andrea Shea-King Show on BlogTalkRadio.

WHY: Because some of us do have questions.

ANDREA & ATLAS SHRUGS TONIGHT AT 9

Atlas Shrugs.

“What’s that?” you ask.

Atlas Shrugs. The blog name of Pamela (she prefers to not reveal her last name). A former associate publisher of the New York Observer, she is a passionate political activist whose well read blog posts and popular internet radio show on BlogTalkRadio is a phenomenon in the world of new media. You can find Pamela on You Tube, commenting on shocking global matters that the mainstream media is not and will not inform us about - from the war against radical Jihad to the dangerous UN, to atrocities being committed on Christians, to Israel’s menacing enemies to our current political landscape.

A frequent contributor to Pajamas Media, in Pamela’s own words…

My blog is a solution. I don’t think it’s a Jewish thing, I just believe the Jew is the canary in the coal mine. I get a lot of anti-Israel hate mail and comments, but it is really not about the Jew as much as it as about good and evil and right and wrong. People say that nothing happens for decades, yet decades happen in a day — like 9/11. I believe there is a fifth column and it is very much alive. It is startling to me that America is still America, though now the guise is not Communism but radical Islamo-fascism and radical jihad.

My blog, and my objective, is to take a gi-normous crowbar and pry peoples’ eyeballs open. This is not about politics. This is about life or death. I’d rather be dancing, and you can ask anybody at the Little Green Footballs meet-up in April — I am a fabulous dancer. But I think Dante said, ‘The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis.’ I believe that doing nothing is worse than the actual crime.

Well informed, widely traveled, highly opinionated and amazingly articulate, Pamela will be with us tonight on my internet show. She’s serious. She’s passionate. She’s Atlas Shrugs. Don’t miss her. But be warned — you’ll get hooked.

We get underway at 9 p.m. EST right HERE.

“NEWS AT NINE” with ANDREA & WDIV-TV Financial Guru

Many years ago I learned my craft at Emerson College in Boston, which specializes in Theater, Speech, and Mass Communications. While there, I met friends who are dear to me to this day.

One of them is Rod Meloni the financial editor at WDIV-TV Detroit.
Tonight, Rod breaks from his full schedule to join us on Blog Talk Radio with his considered opinion of the volatile stock market, our alarming national debt, and Congress’ stimulus package. (We’ll probably reminisce a little too.)

We might also have a surprise drop in “appearance” by another Emerson Alum, a published author with her own popular TV show.CALL IN NUMBER IS 646-478-4604.

BON BONS & POTTY MOUTHS tonight at 9 with ANDREA

I must be one of the most popular gals in Florida — at least among those wooing me for my vote!

In less than twenty-four hours, I’ve been phoned by former Senator Jack Kemp and Sen. John McCain, telling me why McAmnesty deserves my support at the polls next Tuesday, Primary Day.

Bay Buchanan rang me up — twice — telling me why she supports Mitt Romney, and why I should too.

Waiting to hear next from Huckabee and Giuliani with their sweet talk and proposals.

Brown rang my doorbell with a box of Godiva Chocolates today. I fully expected them to be from one of the candidates! (They weren’t.)

And like many a fickle suitor offering hearts and flowers, once he “has his way with me” (i.e. gets my vote), he’ll be off to his next conquest (Super Tuesday).

The political season in the Sunshine State is at full fever pitch. “I’m in a spin… lovin’ the spin that I’m in… it’s that ol’ Black Magic called — politics!”

***
South Carolina Senator Jim DeMint was scheduled to be with us on tonight’s program, but had to cancel due to travel scheduling. He will join us this Sunday night though.

So, while what’s left of the GOP field of candidates “debate” at Florida Atlantic University on MSNBC, we’ll be talking tonight with Dr. Gary Cass, Chairman and CEO of the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission about ESPN’s anchorwoman Dana Jacobson bigoted, anti-Christian tirade at a recent ESPN function.

Speaking at an event in Atlantic City, N.J., to honor ESPN Radio personalities Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic, Jacobson let go with vulgar remarks like “F— Notre Dame,” “F— Touchdown Jesus” and finally “F— Jesus.”

“The hypocrisy and double standards are outrageous,” Dr. Cass says. He’s got plenty more to say about it, and we’ll give him the opportunity tonight at 9 p.m.

After that, we’ll move on to the campaign trail where we’ll take a look at the numbers — polling and otherwise. Join us. We start at 9 p.m. EST.

FLORIDA STRAW POLL AND SELWYN TONIGHT at 9 with Andrea

I was the invited guest speaker at this morning’s Cocoa Beach Republican women’s club meeting.

I told them how I detest the way the media and the Left are determining who our Republican presidential candidate will be through their control of the debates and the first four primaries and caucuses. I shared my suggestions for how it should be changed. (”Change, change, change. Change the fools… “) Twenty solid minutes of how I’d change the political election world. Heh…

Following a Q & A session, I made my departure and this little group of the Space Coast Federation of Republican Women (and some men) then took a straw poll.

Club president Nancy sent the results to me. I wonder if it might be a microcosm of how Florida will vote in our primary on the 29th?

1 vote for Huckabee
1 vote for McCain
1 vote for Paul
5 votes for Thompson
8 votes for Guiliani
22 votes for Romney

We’ll be back to compare these results with the finals on Primary night. Stay tuned…

On tonight’s internet radio webcast we’ll be talking to the brilliant Selwyn Duke, national columnist whose works appear on The American Thinker, News with Views, World Net Daily, and other conservative journals of note.

Selwyn was with us for the final half hour of last Sunday night’s program, and we got on so well I invited him back for a return engagement. We’ve got him for the full hour tonight. We’ll be talking about the presidential campaign, the political landscape, conservatism, and whatever else comes to mind. Do join us! We get underway at 9 p.m. EST.

AN INSIDER’S LOOK AT THE CAMPAIGN, THE POLITICS, THE DIRT - tonight at 9 EST with Andrea

Sometimes things just fall right into your lap. It happened to me this afternoon.

I was lining up guests for Sunday night’s show. During a telephone conversation with the campaign chief of one of our presidential candidates, he dropped the name of a former US Senator who now makes his home in Florida. When I expressed an interest in interviewing him for the WDBO show, he gave me the Senator’s telephone number.

I followed up with a call and asked if he might be interested in appearing on the program. When he accepted my invitation, we chatted a while longer in sort of an informal and preliminary interview in preparation for Sunday night.

To say it was a fascinating phone conversation would be an understatement. In fact, there was so much insider political ground covered, I immediately invited him to join me on tonight’s radio webcast. He must have been enjoying the conversation as much as I was because he readily and enthusiastically agreed !

So tonight, we will be joined by former Republican US Senator Bob Smith, who has served in both the House and the Senate, representing the state of New Hampshire. Yes, the same state whose primary voters chose Her Royal Pantsuit and Sen. John McAmnesty

Sen. Smith has some very interesting observations about the current field of candidates, the primary and caucus process, the political landscape, and where all the bodies are buried.

And he’s willing to share it with us!

As a Vietnam veteran, Smith helped create, and served as vice-chairman of, the 1991–1993 Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs. Smith was reelected in 1996 and served until 2003. In his 1996 reelection campaign he defeated Democrat Dick Swett with 49% of the vote. Smith had established himself as the most conservative Senator from the Northeast, and Bill Clinton’s coattails nearly caused his defeat. The campaign’s most famous incident occurred on election night when several networks (most notably Dan Rather on CBS) claimed that Swett had won, and were then forced to admit their mistake later.

Don’t miss it — I’m guessing this will be an interesting program for all you political junkies, and anyone else who wants to know what’s cooking (or who’s cooking who) in the cloakrooms!

“I’VE LOST IT” says a pitiful voiced Andrea

I’ve lost MY VOICE! Laryngitis has overtaken me and I am silenced for the
day — maybe even two.

Now some of you might be tempted to offer up a chorus of “Hallelujahs”!
Heh…

But for the rest of you who tune in to my weeknight internet radio webcast
at 9 (Mondays thru Thursdays), well… I’ve arranged for alternate
programming: The Presidential “Debate” on TV tonight at 9. And I’ll be right here at Heading Right , participating in the live blogging of the debate that Ed Morrissey will be hosting.

That’s what I’ll be doing as I sip hot tea and honey. That, and watching the
candidates try to not step in it.

My voice should be back by Sunday night’s show on WDBO AM 580, when we’ll be talking with some interesting folks… Watch for more on that to come later this week.

In the meantime, my hands can still type, so check out my latest posts on

Andrea’s Eyes on the Granite State Primary tonight at 9

DRUDGE has the alert flashing at his site this afternoon, blasting the news that New Hampshire’s secretary of State is worried about running out of voter ballots in today’s Primary race.

We’re keeping a sharp eye on the developments in that state’s voting results, and when we go on the internet stream tonight at 9, the polls will have been closed for an hour.

Opening the program tonight — our man on the ground in Manchester John Pratt who will be coming to us live from the Clinton Campaign HQ. He’s our eyes and ears and will have the very latest for us, as it looks like Obama is about to slam Hillary to the mat once more.

Later in the show, we’ll be talking to Gardner Goldsmith, a fixture in New Hampshire radio, who’ll give us a Granite State perspective on the primary, the candidates, and the libertarian leanings of his fellow New Hampshire residents.

Goldsmith, a local columnist, hosts a statewide radio program and is the co-author of a new book Live Free Or Die.

Don’t miss it! The NH Primary Night party gets underway at 9 EST, and the phone lines will be open to pick up where we left off last night with more lively political talk. The “on the air” light begins blinking at 9.

REP. DUNCAN HUNTER TO APPEAR ON THE ANDREA SHEA KING SHOW

BREAKING NEWS ON THE DEBATE ISSUE (from Michelle Malkin).

NEED I SAY MORE?

NH GOP withdraws as sponsor from Fox News debate

By Michelle Malkin • January 5, 2008 12:55 PM

The Manchester Union Leader is reporting and blogs are buzzing over the NH GOP party’s withdrawal as a sponsor from the Fox News debate tomorrow night. U-L:

12:15 p.m. UnionLeader.com has learned that the New Hampshire Republican Party has quit as a co-sponsor of tomorrow night’s nationally televised GOP forum on FOX News. The event had become controversial when FOX refused to include Ron Paul.

Boston Globe reporting:

The New Hampshire Republican Party dropped their affiliation with a Republican debate sponsored by Fox News tomorrow night because they have limited the number of candidates that can participate.

“The first-in-the-nation New Hampshire primary serves a national purpose by giving all candidates an equal opportunity on a level playing field,” said Republican chair Fergus Cullen. “Only in New Hampshire do lesser known, lesser funded underdogs have a fighting chance to establish themselves as national figures.

Tonight’s ABC News back-to-back debates will include Iowa caucus winner Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson, Mitt Romney and Ron Paul at 7pm and Democrats Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Edwards and Bill Richardson after the GOP event.

Denny K is going after Disney/ABC for the exclusion.

I’ve been invited to participate tonight in a discussion about our rights and the limits our nation’s founders placed on the federal government.

The conversation will take place at 8 p.m. EST on the radio show “The Halls of Valhalla: American Truth Warriors”. Program host is “A Newt One” and Loki. We’ll also be looking at the post-Iowa Caucus political scene leading up to this week’s New Hampshire primary.

Whether you support Ron Paul for President or not, it isn’t fair to him or the American people that Fox News has decided to eliminate Dr. Paul or Cong. Duncan Hunter — two presidential candidates — from their next debate.

In fact, it is unconscionable.

The excuses Fox News is giving are as flimsy as a feather in a stiff breeze.

First they said it was because the “super bus” they were broadcasting the event from wasn’t big enough to accommodate all the candidates.

NOT BIG ENOUGH???

On the face of it, that has to be the lamest excuse of all. How long has Fox known it was going to host this debate? They couldn’t secure a large enough venue to accommodate ALL the qualified candidates??? Including candidate Alan Keyes, by the way?

The second excuse Fox spokesmen gave is that Duncan Hunter and Ron Paul aren’t polling high enough numbers.

Would someone tell me what polling numbers have to do with their qualifications to run?

They have a campaign infrastructure, don’t they? They have a campaign war chest, don’t they? They filled out the necessary paperwork and formally announced their candidacy, didn’t they?

And oh by the way, might their poll numbers (a dubious metric at best) be low because the media hasn’t paid them as much attention as their so called “top tier” candidates whose poll numbers reflect the maximum exposure afforded them by the big media??

Ron Paul, Duncan Hunter, and yes, even Dr. Keyes, are viable candidates who last I checked, are still in the race. And because of that, as qualified candidates they have the right to be included whenever and wherever there’s a “debate” before the American people.

The third excuse Fox tried to feed us was there never enough time to get meaningful answers to the debate questions. Are you kidding me? Have we seen a televised debate YET that allowed time enough — or format — to get “meaningful answers??? I mean, “raise your hand” ???

Sweet lovin’ Pete!

We the people should demand every opportunity to hear every candidate’s views, policies, and plans. It’s vitally important to the process that we be able to witness how they react under the pressure of questions and counter arguments. To assess how deep their understanding of domestic and foreign issues. The Constitution. Their responsibilities. How they’d handle unexpected world events. Another terrorism attack. Foreign policy. Limited government. Taxation.

Friends, we are about to elect someone to the highest position in our government at what is the most critical time in our national history since George Washington fought the Revolution.

Lawrence Lindsey observed in “What We Want in a President” on Wednesday’s Wall Street Journal op-ed page:

A process driven by 30-second commercials prepared by the candidates themselves, and so-called debates that ask candidates to explain in 60 seconds how they would bring about world peace or national prosperity, does not help. Nor does media coverage that focuses on whose commercials are moving polling points and who performed well in the last inane debate.

Bob Sullentrup, Founder of Rockthedebates.org says , “We have people dying in Iraq to promote democracy in that part of the world, and in this country, we can’t even have full, open, inclusive debates. There is something fundamentally wrong with that.”

It is censorship, plain and simple. By mainstream media and mainstream politics. And it is dangerous to our republic.

Friends, we the people have the RIGHT — and should DEMAND to hear from every qualified candidate who wants to lead this great nation. WE will be the ones to decide who makes it into the final cut, NOT the TV executives and the minions in political circles.

It’s time to take back our political process. It’s time to take back our responsibilities as an informed electorate. Write to Fox News and let them know we won’t stand for this.
