3 Things to look for

The people over at Hillbuzz have giving a warming to Republicans and Conservatives to heed.   The Obama camp and his propaganda machine will try and depress Republican voters from voting on Nov 4.

Head Games Coming Your Way:

(1) Calls for McCain to just give up and quit, because the race is over.
This one is a favorite of the trolls who lurk on pro-McCain sites.  We get them here, despite all the spraying and fumigating we do, but notice how we ignore these trolls.  We’ve identified two paid Obama staffers who have been assigned to HillBuzz. We picked them up around the same time people from Ace and LGF started picking up some of our stuff — so our guess is they were assigned to us by whoever was monitoring those sites. They’re different trolls than the ones assigned to us during the primaries (we only had one back then, so evidently we’ve gotten more on the radar now). One of them starts posting “her” concern troll remarks here at 8am.  The other one starts “his” remarks around 5pm or so. It appears there are two shifts for the trolls — and from what we can see, they share the same computer and IP address. And it’s an address right here in Chicago.
…..

(2) Wild claims of Obama winning states that shock and surprise you. Since Obama believes there are 57 states (maybe 58 or 59, depending on how he’s counting that day), the Obamedia will report huge wins for Dear Leader in the states of Confusion, Denial, and Undress, with Atlantis, Oz, Hopetopia, and Leningrad all going to Obama early on November 4th — because everyone loves Obama so much, that places that don’t even exist have voted for him (with 100% of the vote of the dead, cartoon characters, and historical figures going to Dear Leader in unprecedented numbers). The best example of the Obamedia making up lies like this was on Super Tuesday, when every Eeyore we knew ran through the streets crying and pants-wetting, gnashing their teeth and yanking their hair as the sky fell around them — BECAUSE OBAMA IS WINNING CALIFORNIA!  MASSACHUSETTS! ARKANSAS! TENNESSEE! NEW JERSEY! NEW YORK! WAAAAAAAAH!  DOOOOOOOMED!
….

(3) Repeated insistance that blacks and young people will decide this election, and they are all going to vote in record numbers for Obama. First of all, black voters have always voted Democratic in massive numbers. We don’t think blacks have ever voted for Republicans in any substantial way in any race we can think of. Blacks vote as a race-bloc, and they always vote for the Democrat. Maybe Obama will get blacks who have never voted before to vote for him, or blacks who don’t bother to vote on Election Day to show up and vote, but we doubt that it will be very many people. Black voters were highly motivated to vote in 2004 because they felt George W. Bush stole the 2000 election, and they saw that as a civil rights issue that increased black turnout to one of the highest levels we have ever seen. Remember, Jesse Jackson almost won Election 2000 for Gore but was stopped by the Gore campaign, in the form of Donna Brazile. Watch the HBO movie Recount.  Jackson felt the Florida Recount was a civil rights/voter disenfranchisement issue at its heart, and wanted to press that to the public. He revved the black community up and flew down to Tallahassee, but Gore and Brazile made him get back on a plane to Chicago. That was a critically stupid move…and you know how the recount ended.

Read the whole thing, this is what the Obamoatrons did to Hillary’s supporters and thus the PUMAS formed.

Meet Cory the Driller

I got this from Fred from Real Debate Wisconsin.

Mr. Obama,

Given the uproar about the simple question asked you by Joe the plumber, and the persecution that has been heaped on him because he dared to question you, I find myself motivated to say a few things to you myself. While Joe aspires to start a business someday, I already have started not one, but 4 businesses. But first, let me introduce myself. You can call me “Cory the well driller”. I am a 54-year-old high school graduate. I didn’t go to college like you, I was too ready to go “conquer the world” when I finished high school. 25 years ago at age 29, I started my own water well drilling business at a time when the economy here in East Texas was in a tailspin from the crash of the early 80’s oil boom. I didn’t get any help from the government, nor did I look for any. I borrowed what I could from my sister, my uncle, and even the pawnshop and managed to scrape together a homemade drill rig and a few tools to do my first job. My businesses did not start not a result of privilege. It is the result of my personal drive, personal ambition, self-discipline, self reliance, and a determination to treat my customers fairly. From the very start my business provided one other (than myself) East Texan a full time job. I couldn’t afford a backhoe the first few years (something every well drilling business had), so I and my helper had to dig the mud pits that are necessary for each and every job with hand shovels. I had to use my 10-year-old, ½-ton pickup truck for my water tank truck (normally a job for at least a 2 ton truck).

A year and a half after I started the business, I scraped together a 20% down payment to get a modest bank loan and bought a (28 year) old, worn out, slightly bigger drilling rig to allow me to drill the deeper water wells in my area. I spent the next few years drilling wells with the rig while simultaneously rebuilding it between jobs. Through these years I never knew from one month to the next if I would have any work or be able to pay the bills. I got behind on my income taxes one year, and spent the next two years paying that back (with penalty and interest) while keeping up with ongoing taxes. I got behind on my water well supply bill 2 different years (way behind the second time… $80,000.00), and spent over a year paying it back (each time) while continuing to pay for ongoing supplies C.O.D. Of course, the personal stress endured through these experiences and years is hard to measure. I do have a stent in my heart now to memorialize it all.

I spent the next 10 years developing the reputation for being the most competent and most honest water well driller in East Texas. 2 years along the way, I hired another full time employee for the drilling business so that we could provide full time water well pump service as well as the well drilling. Also, 3 years along the path, I bought a water well screen service machine from a friend, starting business # 2. 5 years later I made a business loan for $100,000.00 to build a new, higher production, computer controlled screen service machine. I had designed the machine myself, and it didn’t work out for 3 years so I had to make the loan payments without the benefit of any added income from the new machine. No government program was there to help me with the payments, or to help me sleep at night, as I lay awake wondering how I would solve my machine problems or pay my bills. Finally, after 3 years, I got the screen machine working properly, and that provided another full time job for an East Texan in the screen service business.

2 years after that, I made another business loan, this time for $250,000.00, to buy another used drilling rig and all the support equipment needed to run another, larger, drill rig. This provided another 2 full time jobs for East Texans. Again, I spent a couple of years not knowing if I had made a smart move, or a move that would bankrupt me. For the third time in 13 years, I had placed everything I owned on the line, risking everything, in order to build a business.
A couple of years into this, I came up with a bright idea for a new kind of mud pump, a fundamentally necessary pump used on water well drill rigs. I spent my entire life savings to date (just $30,000.00), building a prototype of the pump and took it to the national water well convention to show it off. Customers immediately started coming out of the woodworks to buy the pumps, but there was a problem. I had depleted my assets making the prototype, and nobody would make me a business loan to start production of the new pumps. With several deposits for pump orders in hand, and nowhere to go, I finally started applying for as many credit card as I could find and took cash withdrawals on these cards to the tune of over $150,000.00 (including modest loans from my dear sister and brother), to get this 3rd business going.

Yes, once again, I had everything hanging over the line in an effort to start another business. I had never manufactured anything, and I had to design and bring into production a complex hydraulic machine from an untested prototype to a reliable production model (in six months). How many nights I lay awake wondering if I had just made the paramount mistake of my life I cannot tell you, but there were plenty. I managed to get the pumps into production, which immediately created another 2 full time jobs in East Texas. Some of the models in the first year suffered from quality issues due to the poor workmanship of one of my key suppliers, so an employee and I (another East Texan employed) had to drive across the country to repair customers’ pumps, practically from coast to coast. I stood behind the product, and made payments to all the credit cards that had financed me (and my brother and sister). I spent the next 5 years improving and refining the product, building a reputation for the pump and the company, working to get the pump into drill rig manufacturers’ product lines, and paying back credit cards. During all this time I continued to manage a growing water well business that was now operating 3 drill rig crews, and 2 well service crews. Also, the screen service business continued to grow. No government programs were there to help me, Mr. Obama, but that’s ok, I didn’t expect any, nor did I want any. I was too busy fighting to make success happen to sit around waiting for the government to help me.

Now, we have been manufacturing the mud pumps for 7 years, my combined businesses employ 32 full time employees, and distribute $5,000,000.00 annually through the local economy. Now, just 4 months ago I borrowed $1,254,000.00, purchasing computer controlled machining equipment to start my 4th business, a production machine shop. The machine shop will serve the mud pump company so that we can better manufacture our pumps that are being shipped worldwide. Of course, the machine shop will also do work for outside companies as well. This has already produced 2 more full time jobs, and 2 more should develop out of it in the next few months. This should work out, but if it doesn’t it will be because you, and the other professional politicians like yourself, will have destroyed our country’s’ (and the world) economy with your meddling with mortgage loan programs through your liberal manipulation and intimidation of loaning institutions to make sure that unqualified borrowers could get mortgages. You see, at the very time when I couldn’t get a business loan to get my mud pumps into production, you were working with Acorn and the Community Reinvestment Act programs to make sure that unqualified borrowers could buy homes with no down payment, and even no credit or worse yet, bad credit. Even the infamous, liberal, Ninja loans (No Income, No Job or Assets). While these unqualified borrowers were enjoying unrealistically low interest rates, I was paying 22% to 24% interest on the credit cards that I had used to provide me the funds for the mud pump business that has created jobs for more East Texans. It’s funny, because after 25 years of turning almost every dime of extra money back into my businesses to grow them, it has been only in the last two years that I have finally made enough money to be able to put a little away for retirement, and now the value of that has dropped 40% because of the policies you and your ilk have perpetrated on our country.

You see, Mr. Obama, I’m the guy you intend to raise taxes on. I’m the guy who has spent 25 years toiling and sweating, fretting and fighting, stressing and risking, to build a business and get ahead. I’m the guy who has been on the very edge of bankruptcy more than a dozen times over the last 25 years, and all the while creating more and more jobs for East Texans who didn’t want to take a risk, and wouldn’t demand from themselves what I have demanded from myself. I’m the guy you characterize as “the Americans who can afford it the most” that you believe should be taxed more to provide income redistribution “to spread the wealth” to those who have never toiled, sweated, fretted, fought, stressed, or risked anything. You want to characterize me as someone who has enjoyed a life of privilege and who needs to pay a higher percentage of my income than those who have bought into your entitlement culture. I resent you, Mr. Obama, as I resent all who want to use class warfare as a tool to advance their political career. What’s worse, each year more Americans buy into your liberal entitlement culture, and turn to the government for their hope of a better life instead of themselves. Liberals are succeeding through more than 40 years of collaborative effort between the predominant liberal media, and liberal indoctrination programs in the public school systems across our land.

What is so terribly sad about this is this. America was made great by people who embraced the one-time American culture of self-reliance, self-motivation, self-determination, self-discipline, personal betterment, and hard work, risk taking. A culture built around the concept that success was in reach on every able bodied American who would strive for it. Each year that less Americans embrace that culture, we all descend together. We descend down the socialist path that has brought country after country ultimately to bitter and unremarkable states. If you and your liberal comrades in the media and school systems would spend half as much effort cultivating a culture of can-do across America as you do cultivating your entitlement culture, we could see Americans at large embracing the conviction that they can elevate themselves through personal betterment, personal achievement, and self reliance. You see, when people embrace such ideals, they act on them. When people act on such ideals, they succeed. All of America could find herself elevating instead of deteriorating. But that would eliminate the need for liberal politicians, wouldn’t it, Mr. Obama? The country would not need you if the country was convinced that problem solving was best left with individuals instead of the government. You and all your liberal comrades have got a vested interested in creating a dependent class in our country. It is the very business of liberals to create an ever-expanding dependence on government. What’s remarkable is that you, who have never produced a job in your life, are going to tax me to take more of my money and give it to people who wouldn’t need my money if they would get off their entitlement mentality asses and apply themselves at work, demand more from themselves, and quit looking to liberal politicians to raise their station in life.
You see, I know because I’ve had them work for me before. Hundreds of them over these 25 years. People who simply will not show up to work on time. People who just will not work 5 days in a week, much less, 6 days. People always looking for a way to put less effort out. People who actually tell me that they would do more if I just would first pay them more. People who take off work to sit in government offices to apply to get free government handouts (gee, I wonder how things would have turned out for them if they had spent that time earning money and pleasing their employer?). You see, all of this comes from your entitlement mentality culture.

Oh, I know you will say I am uncompassionate. Sorry, Mr. Obama, wrong again. You see, I’ve seen what the average percentage of your income has been given to charities over the years of 2000 to 2004 (ignoring the years you started running for office - can you pronounce “politically motivated”); you averaged of less than 1% annually. And your running mate, Joe Biden, averaged less than ¼% of his annual income in charitable contributions over the last 10 years. Like so many liberals, the two of you want to give to the needy, just as long as it is someone else’s money you are giving to them. I won’t say what I have given to charities over the last 25 years, but the percentage is several times more than you or Joe Biden (don’t you just hate goggle?). Tell me again how you feel my pain.

In short, Mr. Obama, your political philosophies represent everything that is wrong with our country. You represent the culture of government dependence instead of self-reliance; Entitlement mentality instead of personal achievement; Penalization of the successful to reward the unmotivated; Political correctness instead of open mindedness and open debate. If you are successful, you may preside over the final transformation of America from being the greatest and most self-reliant culture on earth, to just another country of whiners and wimps, who sit around looking to the government to solve their problems. Like all of western Europe. All countries on the decline. All countries that, because of liberal socialistic mentalities, have a little less to offer mankind every year.

God help us…

Cory Miller
just a ordinary, extraordinary American, the way a lot of Americans used to be.

P.S. Yes, Mr. Obama, I am a real American… www.cmillerdrilling.com

“THE BRAINSTER” JOINS ANDREA SHEA-KING FOR SOME STRAIGHT TALK ON McCAIN

Longtime John McCain supporter Pat Curley — “the Brainster” — will join me on the internet stream tonight. Show producer THIRDWAVEDAVE writes from his site:

Pat Curley–The Brainster–will be calling in from his home in Arizona to discuss the McCain campaign’s prospects for next Tuesday.

As a long time supporter of McCain, Pat probably knows more about the ticket than most experts on tv. In fact, Pat predicted McCain would be the republican nominee at a time when the rest of the political world had long since written him off. Pat took a lot of heat for his prediction, too, but in the end, he was right. And next Tuesday we’ll see just how right he was.

THE ANDREA SHEA-KING SHOW begins at 9 ET. See you in the chat room.

Voter Integrity Project

We all have heard about the ACORN fraud going on all over the country.   But they are not the only one that are disrupting the elections this year.   They has been voter shananigans on both sides of the aisle.   Illegal voter registration, voter suppression and a whole bunch of other ways where each party is trying to rig the elections.   Well, The Voter Integrity Project has a contest for everyone out there to document and stop this kind of stuff from going on.    You can win $1000 and 3 flip cameras.  The lovely Izzy Santa’s video promo for this contest.

This election season, political forces on both sides of the partisan divide have been documented committing significant vote fraud and voter suppression. These activities negate the votes of law-abiding voters. In order to both raise public awareness in election fraud and prevent it from occurring in the first place, the Voter Integrity Project is sponsoring a video contest with $1,000 in cash prizes and three brand new Flip cameras.

The VIP video contest is a chance for citizens to sound off and fight back… and, in the process, win some cold hard cash and cool gadgets. Check out our video promo, featuring the lovely Izzy Santa, by clicking below.

Guidelines. The contest’s scope is broad. VIP is looking for both ideas and action, both theory and practice. Acceptable submissions include (but are in no way limited to):

  • Rants or demonstrations on how election fraud threatens the democratic process
  • Documented instances of election fraud in practice or other suspicious election-related activity
  • Any combination of the two

Thinking outside-the-box, being creative and showcasing talents are all highly recommended. One might dress up, go out in public, dance, sing a song, or present a short narrative. Those with more serious personalities may video their vote, ask voters questions about the election process, or document a poll-watching experience. Perhaps even some real investigative work. Ultimately, anything that helps protect the integrity of voting.

Requirements:

  • Submissions ought to be under 3 minutes (although longer videos will still be accepted)
  • All submissions must be uploaded to YouTube. Leave a comment with a link to the video or email the URL to info@samadamsalliance.org.
  • DEADLINE: Tuesday, November 25th @ MIDNIGHT. (Why three whole weeks after the election? Election fraud often continues well after election day.

For more details on the contest, click here.

The Left’s new target

Now that we know everything about Joe the Plumber, and he will probably never get another job with the reaming he got from the MSM and the Left, the Left needs another person to go after.   And now they are after Tiffany Wilson and Shelby Holliday, reporters for Palestra.net, a college broadcast news service.   And why are they getting the ire of the Left and Obama’s campaign???   Well, they are looking into the Voter Fraud that is going on in Ohio.

H/T to Maggie Thurber

Move over Joe - Palestra.net reporters are the new targets of the left

If you’ve been following the issues of voter registration verification and voter fraud in Ohio on my blog, you’ll recognize the names Tiffany Wilson and Shelby Holliday as reporters for Palestra.net, a college broadcast news service.

They’ve done tremendous work investigating and exposing out-of-state campaign workers who registered and cast ballots in Ohio, even though they are not eligible to do so. As a result of their inquiries, some of the ineligible voters have withdrawn both their registrations and ballots - but not all have done so.—-Maggie Thurber

Is The McCain Campaign Imploding?

As we approach the home stretch of this 2008 presidential election, several things have occurred to make me believe that John McCain’s campaign is self-destructing.

First and foremost, there appears to be some dissension in the ranks of the McCain-Palin camp. Palin’s handlers have restrained her from appearing on any more of the major news programs. She will not be visiting any of the Sunday morning talking head shows, and her appearances have been limited to campaign rallies. Rumors are flying that there are many in McCain’s inner circle who have turned against Palin, now believing that she is not qualified to be a heartbeat away from the presidency.

Secondly, many in McCain’s camp are suffering from a defeatist attitude with a little more than a week left before the big day. McCain has reportedly read the riot act to his staff, making clear that they must fight with him all out to win the election. McCain has made it clear that he will not tolerate the “blame game” that many of his advisers are engaging in, as Barack Obama retains a comfortable lead in national and swing state polls.

Morale is said to be very low among McCain’s troops, calling his campaign lackluster. Some have even begun talking about what they will do after the election, as far as employment is concerned. It’s as though they’ve thrown in the towel, and are just waiting out the clock.

Most polls show Obama with a comfortable lead heading into the final week. An Associated Press poll and an Investor’s Business Daily poll show the race a lot closer, and the IBD poll in 2004 most accurately reflected voters’ attitudes. This should encourage McCain’s people, but apparently it has not.

With time running out, it seems clear that McCain has a very steep hill to climb. Obama is already measuring the drapes in the White House, and barring a miracle, we must face the real possibility that he will be our next president.

But McCain is right to chastise his staff. As Sarah Palin has said, it’s not over until it’s over. McCain could still do some things to turn it around.

He must continue to pound home the fact that what Obama offers in terms of tax policy is socialism, even Marxism. He must hammer away at the fact that an Obama presidency, combined with a Democrat controlled congress, would take this country so far to the left that our founding fathers would not recognize the nation they created.

McCain must also lay the blame for the economic crisis and bailout fiasco squarely at the foot of the Democrats, and indicate that he as a maverick will go after those responsible for the Fannie Mae - Freddie Mac meltdown. He should name names, and trot out Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney as two cabinet members he will appoint to bring justice to the American people. McCain can then point to Obama and ask who Obama would appoint to do the same thing. Harry Reid? Nancy Pelosi? Barney Frank?

Why McCain has failed to do these things up until now boggles the mind. But there is still a window of opportunity, albeit a small one.

Barring getting this message across or an October surprise so powerful that it rocks the very foundation of the Obama campaign, this election is lost.

Punish The Gop, Vote Obama…..Not

Everyone knows that over the past 8 years, longer really, the GOP has moved away from it’s core values and become a wishy washy version of it’s former self.So what do we do about it? Well some people who call themselves Republicans or “conservatives” think we should send ‘em a message! Vote Obama ‘08.
The Obama America
I was reading the comments on a Jonestown Juice sucking Obama site and found a response to a comment I had made there a week ago. Here’s part of it:

“You seem to think that a vote for Obama must be predicated on making a positive case for him. That may be rules of the game you and Darwin are playing but it certainly doesn’t have to be the rules that Radley Balko or I play by. While Radley may be voting for Obama where I am not, he and I share the same principle: a complete repudiation of the GOP. Let it burn I say.

Write all the facts you want about McCain and Obama. Duly noted. However, it’s about time you stopped hiding behind them and predicating your entire argument on facts because you are woefully, woefully short on defending principles. The fact that the libtards suck may be correct but you have never made a convincing case for the conservative movement.”

My response:
1) A vote for Obama is, in fact, making a positive case for him. You are giving him your support and your vote to become the next President of the United States. In fact voting for him is the ONLY support he wants from you.

2) Repudiating the GOP by electing the most far left radical extremist candidate to ever run on the Democratic ticket; one who lacks any experience, one who’s campaign is run by Naziesque goon squads and one who’s own VP seems to be in the dark about his intentions, is not a repudiation, it’s like breaking your own leg just to see if it hurts.

3) One cannot hide behind facts. Facts are the quintessential essence of openness, of truth, justice and the American way.

As for making the case for the “conservative movement”. Well that’s easy. I’m not a conservative, I’m a Republican.

And I fail how I have been “woefully, woefully short” on defending Republican principals. I have made it clear that McCain was a poor choice, that I am against federal government intervention in cases like Terri Shiavo; that abortion should be a states rights issue as well as gay marriage. I have squealed like a long tail cat in a room full of rocking chairs that I want a government that is limited, non-interventionist and decentralized. I have spoken so many times, I sound like a broken record, that being a Republican is about personal responsibility. I’ve pleaded for fiscal restraint, the end of useless social programs and f-ed up regulations that screw with free trade. And I have acknowledged that being Republican for the last decade has meant trying to appease the moderate voter and that we have strayed from our core principals.

As it pertains to this upcoming election, and people like the commenter who tried to take me to task above, I get what you are saying. McCain is a moderate at best, in fact I would call him a conservative Democrat, maybe a moderate Republican? He has abandoned the party and shown that he in fact is the one who is “woefully, woefully short” on standing in good stead with the party that placed him on the ticket. On that, we agree.

That being said, these “teach them Repub-lite trolls a lesson” types out there who somehow think that electing a Messiah-like junior senator from the state which is home to the murder capital of our country is a “repudiation of the GOP” are delusional.

You do not elect a man who’s friends, mentors and spiritual leaders are all anti-AmeriKKK-an whack jobs. You do not elect a man who’s idea of free speech is telling people what to say, and if you fail to parrot him, you are punished. You do not elect a man who’s campaign is so entrenched in various criminal dealings they need thousands of lawyers to quell the flow. You do not elect a man whose own VP candidate acknowledges he is not ready to lead. Ad infinitum.

Point is…..You do not elect a man who fails the litmus test on EVERY SINGLE CORE REPUBLICAN value, just to send a message. That’s nothing more than cutting your nose off to spite your face.

So what do we do? Those of us who are frustrated, mad, angry that our party has abandoned us. Well, I’ll tell you what you don’t do, you don’t elect a flaming radical leftist nut job into office to send a message.

You elect the Republican-lite and you send HIM a strong message, do it our way or it’s the highway. He listens, we can work toward healing our troubled party. He doesn’t and we WILL be moving to, at minimum, a three party system and “Republican” as it once was will cease to exist. Elect Obama and it’s over. You haven’t accomplished anything other than voting for an elitist megalomaniacal man with a Jesus complex.

Socialism In America: Old News to This DAVFW

~Snooper~

While I applaud the efforts of so many, I have to ask the question…

WHERE IN THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN DAMMIT???

I have for decades been warning folks about this day we see before us. I am in no way trying to compare myself to John The Baptist at all - I am allergic to lightening - but, I knew that this day would come. Why? Because the further the DNC moves to the Left, so does the GOP. Period. It has been OBVIOUS for decades. Now, Mark Levin has this to say today or, yesterday.

I’ve been thinking this for a while so I might as well air it here. I honestly never thought we’d see such a thing in our country - not yet anyway - but I sense what’s occurring in this election is a recklessness and abandonment of rationality that has preceded the voluntary surrender of liberty and security in other places. I can’t help but observe that even some conservatives are caught in the moment as their attempts at explaining their support for Barack Obama are unpersuasive and even illogical. And the pull appears to be rather strong. Ken Adelman, Doug Kmiec, and others, reach for the usual platitudes in explaining themselves but are utterly incoherent. Even non-conservatives with significant public policy and real world experiences, such as Colin Powell and Charles Fried, find Obama alluring but can’t explain themselves in an intelligent way.

There is a cult-like atmosphere around Barack Obama, which his campaign has carefully and successfully fabricated, which concerns me. The messiah complex. Fainting audience members at rallies. Special Obama flags and an Obama presidential seal. A graphic with the portrayal of the globe and Obama’s name on it, which adorns everything from Obama’s plane to his street literature. Young school children singing songs praising Obama. Teenagers wearing camouflage outfits and marching in military order chanting Obama’s name and the professions he is going to open to them. An Obama world tour, culminating in a speech in Berlin where Obama proclaims we are all citizens of the world. I dare say, this is ominous stuff. […]

He continues on and ends thusly…

[…] The question is whether enough Americans understand what’s at stake in this election and, if they do, whether they care. Is the allure of a charismatic demagogue so strong that the usually sober American people are willing to risk an Obama presidency? After all, it ensnared Adelman, Kmiec, Powell, Fried, and numerous others. And while America will certainly survive, it will do so, in many respects, as a different place. [END]

I’ll go ahead and put this out there…I’ll not recognize an Obama Presidency because he espouses ideals and ideologies 180 degrees out of phase with the United States Constitution. But that isn’t the issue. The big issue is that he isn’t a United States Citizen.

Do you want to know why we are in the current mess the country is in? Read and memorize, print and distribute the List of 45.

Michael Yon…Voices From The War

In Michael Yon’s latest Dispatch from Afghanistan, he issues this warning: Are You Connected?

The following was the email communication: (emphasis added is mine)

The outcome of the upcoming U.S. elections will have a profound impact on the war. Meanwhile, the day to day fighting continues. If Senator Obama is elected, I expect to spend a great deal of time covering the fighting. Judging by his words, Senator Obama must be watched closely or we might see some terrible decisions. I expect 2009 to be the worst year so far in the Af-Pak war, which has serious potential to eventually become far worse than Iraq ever was. If Senator McCain is elected, I’ll breathe easier in regard to the war. […]

Like I have been saying for almost forever, the Democrats will lose this war with the outcome unthinkable. They cannot admit that they have been on the wrong side of this war except for when they were for it. They turned against it when they saw that they would be out of political Power for quite some time with no chance to occupy the Presidency for at least a generation.

Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, John Murtha, John Kerry, Al Gore…they all have blood on their hands. Barack Obama, the guy that had no votes on the Iraq War Resolution has said many times that we would lose this war and he has worked feverishly to do so…to make himself quite the sage. General David Petraeus proved him wrong and your basic Democrat can never and will never admit to being wrong about anything…it is a sign of weakness. Barack Obama has the most blood on his hands.

Democrats and terrorists; a partnership of evil…a Culture of Death.

The DNC Rift Tsunami

~Snooper~

The Democrat Party is falling apart but one would not know that reading the Lame Stream Media. However, those of us that comprise the Main Street Media are hearing a different song. It is the Death Knell Dirge of the DNC.

Barack Hussein Obama did Hillary wrong and she isn’t about to forget or forgive, no matter the public appearances of both Hillary and Bill and their subsequent rhetoric in support of Obama. If anyone truly believes that the Clinton’s are supporting Obama, they are certainly lost in space.

When I was building the blog for the Stop Her Now Campaign, called the Hot Rodham Blog, we spent hours and hours and hours researching the Clinton Clan and we got to know them very well. They are not about to forgive or forget the railroading they received from the DNC leadership, George Soros or Barack Hussein Obama. Not by a long shot. The Democrat Convention was a sure-fire give-away.

Please recall that when Hillary saw that she was going to walk away from the Convention with the nomination, The Big Nod, she realized what that would mean. I have to give her credit. She quickly went to a microphone and asked to not have the usual voting procedures, thus bypassing what was to come. When reviewing the videos, one can hear a vast majority booing her decision. Nancy Pelosi was quick to ask for those that approve and not once did she allow for those that did not approve to have their say. That is a typical maneuver of the Party of Intolerance…if you disagree, you have no say.

Sound familiar?

We saw decades of Identity Politics come crashing down and the rift is growing. However, don’t believe me. Believe this; from the American Thinker, Steven M. Warshawsky brings us the following: Signs Pointing To A McCain Victory

[…] This is the “narrative” that the mainstream media has been imposing on this year’s presidential campaign almost from the start. Remember how quickly the MSM jumped off the Hillary Clinton bandwagon and onto Obama’s? Remember how annoyed and angry they became as Hillary refused to concede the nomination? The MSM decided that electing the nation’s first black, socialist, anti-American president was politically and historically more important (and, for them, more exciting) than electing the nation’s first female, socialist, patriotic president. And they are doing everything they can to achieve this goal.

Well, there is another story out there that the MSM refuses to address. A huge story. One that could, and I think will, significantly affect the outcome of this race. I’m referring to the widespread phenomenon of registered Democrats openly supporting John McCain. There are numerous “Democrats for McCain” type organizations. There are numerous websites and blogs written by Democrats touting McCain’s candidacy. There are pro-McCain grassroots efforts being led by Democrats. And we all know friends or relatives who are Democrats, who voted for John Kerry in 2004, and who are no fans of President Bush - but who are going to vote for John McCain this year.

Yet, surprise surprise, the mainstream media is not talking about these voters, not talking about the real rift that is occurring within the ranks of the Democratic Party. Needless to say, if a similar rift were occurring in the Republican Party, it would be treated as the major story that it is. (Indeed, as such stories about the political fault lines in the Republican Party have been treated in the recent past.) […]

By now, all we have been hearing of late is the “rift” between McCain and Palin. This is near laughable but mostly ignorant. The morphing of the stories are woefully skewed with the wishful thinking more than obvious. Just remember, that which happens to or is caused by the DNC that can be “bad news” is quickly shrugged off somewhere else. It is their trademark.

Another thing that the pollsters are “forgetting” is the Joe The Plumber voters. Another aspect is the NRA. Another aspect is the Angry White Man. Most everyone with half a brain can see the race baiting going on by Barack in that 90 to 95 percent of the “African-Americans” are voting for Barack BECAUSE he is black and ONLY because he is black, even though he is NEITHER black or white. He is a fraud and come election day, the fraud will not be victorious.

If there is any election racism in this nation it is on the part of the black community as stirred up by Obama, Sharpton and Jackson. That much is plainly obvious.

More at Memeorandum…the laughs I got from there are truly spirit lifting…

The President After Next

“In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, bloodshed —
they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, five hundred years of democracy and peace, and what did they produce? The cuckoo clock.

—From the film The Third Man

With barely more than a week to go, Democratic Presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama appears set for a finish stronger than the closing weeks of the primary campaign. His biggest risk is overconfidence among his supporters. Unless they feel that ‘fierce urgency of now’ - he may not have enough real voters to bring about all that hope and change.

In Republican circles, the ‘fierce urgency of now’ may prove a uniting factor in the closing days. Senator John McCain has lived his life in service to the United States. But the failure of his campaign staff to effectively let McCain BE McCain - and of the activist Conservative right to fully support him has definitely left a mark. The silver lining for McCain, however, is that Republican voters chose him despite the party apparatus. McCain is the man elected - in closed and open primaries - that voters wanted. Party establishment folks don’t like that fact - but it’s just too darn bad.

Where does that leave us? Who will win? Obama the Prom King, or McCain the Reliable Hero? Frankly, I don’t think anyone can predict it. Polls have proved notoriously inaccurate this season. Obama underperforming. McCain overperforming. One thing is certain: the GOP will lose ground in the US House and US Senate. But the presidential race is far from over. With only 9 days - it might as well be 9 years until the last vote is cast.

Regardless of this election… the truth is this: 2012 is on everyone’s mind already.

If Obama wins, he’ll instantly be in re-election mode. And who is there to challenge him? Sarah Palin seems a natural voice for the ultra-conservative wing of the GOP. But who else might there be? many contenders spring to mind, certainly former Pennsylvania Governor & first DHS Secretary Tom Ridge has made it clear he would have been happy to be on the ticket this year. So maybe he’s got designs on 1600 Penn in the next cycle as a post-McCain moderate. South Carolina’s Mark Sanford could challenge Palin, and be more appealing to fiscal conservatives than she is. McCain’s major rival, Mitt Romney may make a Hillary-esque “I told you so” re-run, never mind that he just is not likable - no matter what Kevin Madden tells us.

Of course, this all begs the ‘magic wand’ treatment. Who would I like to see? US House Chief Deputy Republican Whip Eric Cantor, VA-7. Sure, its a long shot and the Fitzhugh Mafia from the Old Dominion prefer to see him hang in the House and make his play towards a future as Speaker of the US House - and I am sure Cantor could get there. But - ya know, those boys from Richmond need to set him free. Let Americans, real Americans, become acquainted with Eric. He took a prominent role during the energy debate this year - in August - that proved me right on one thing: Eric Cantor may be the most telegenic, articulate, common sense, sexy (yeah - I said it) Conservative in the last 50 years. Slightly younger than Obama, Cantor would find some swooning masses in a fight against Obama in four years.

And what if McCain wins? Who would emerge from Democratic ranks to right the Yellow Submarine that Obama has been piloting this year? Rahm Emmanuel. Just a guess. As ugly as GOP infighting has been - the bloodbath that would ensue after an Obama defeat would be a fascinating bit of political theatre.

Nine days and counting. But remember, ten days from now - the next presidential election begins.

Courtesy of NRO, here is some wisdom from Fred Thompson about the importance of this election.

Re: Unleashing Fred   [Kathryn Jean Lopez]

Fred’s rally:

It’s time for those of us who are concerned about our nation’s future to focus on what is at stake in this year’s elections. This is a time of great challenge for our country. We know that somewhere in the world our worst enemies either have, or are trying to get 200pxfred_thompson their hands on, the most dangerous weapons known to man.  Small rogue nations are developing nuclear weapons and threaten our allies.  Large nations are engaged in massive military buildups.

At home we are girding for the possible onset of a recession. Very soon we will go to the polls and set a path that will determine how we respond to these challenges. It will be a decision that we will make not only for ourselves but very possibly for generations to come. . . .

Senator Obama and his campaign see an historic opportunity—a political opportunity.  They know that in times of fear and uncertainty the promise of a safe haven is well received.  But there is no sanctuary in what they offer.

Their “haven” is the same old tired refuge of liberalism: the federal government.  And the candidate – the least experienced, most liberal in two generations – represents a last gasp at imposing the failed 1960s radical, leftist agenda that could never succeed in normal times.

Let me make it as plain as I know how.  If Senator Obama is elected President with a Democrat majority in the House and Senate, this country will make a dramatic shift to the left, such as we have never seen before.  Senator Obama and the Democratic Congress will be unrestrained and unrepentant in making our country as never before more divided and more dependent upon a dramatically larger and intrusive federal government.

[snip]

. . . [H]ow we respond to our economic challenge is more important than the crisis itself. For the last 25 years the United States, and indeed the world, has enjoyed unprecedented prosperity.  You wouldn’t know it from listening to Obama, but worldwide over 1 billion people have been able to lift themselves out of poverty.  This is due to America’s influence, from our defense of freedom in World War II to the Cold War, to the ascendency of our free-market capitalism, the adoption of open trade policies, and globalization.  Yet some say our current financial difficulties are evidence that we should turn our back on our founding, free market principles … that it’s time for big changes.

But in a world that is increasingly inter-connected by jobs, trade and global finance, how our economy is viewed by the rest of the world is extremely important to America’s economic well being. The worst thing in the world we could do is appear to be unfriendly to investment and trade with an economy constrained and made uncompetitive by layers upon layers of new regulations, and bogged down in the divisiveness of class warfare.  Yet if you are to take them at their word this is precisely the direction that an Obama administration and a Democratic Congress would take us, turning a short term recession into a long term economic decline for the United States.

And while our regulatory regime needs to be examined and improved, we should be clear: capitalism is not the cause of our nation’s economic challenges. The subprime mortgage crisis was not rooted in lack of regulation, but in bad policies made by Democrats in Congress that forced banks to give mortgages to people who could not afford the houses they were buying. These are the same politicians who protected the excesses and fraudulent conduct of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. They are the same ones who now want to control the spending of hundreds of billions of dollars to solve the problem they helped create, and who tried to slip $200 billion into the first bailout bill for their political cronies in ACORN, the organization that is now systemically perpetrating voter registration fraud around the country.  This record, Obama and the Democrats say, entitles them to total control of all of the levers of power in Washington.

[snip]

The liberal agenda is based upon the belief that there are elites among us who know more and know better than the rest of us.  And that with the application of their intellect and power … and our money … they can impose regulations and establish programs, bureaus and agencies that will solve all the problems of the masses’.

Senator Obama and his supporters essentially see society not as dynamic and changing or full of opportunity.  They see one that is divided by economic classes into which every one of us is permanently assigned.  In their worldview, those in a lesser economic class are presumably resentful and envious.  So it’s the government’s job to level things out … or as Senator Obama would say “spread the wealth around.” . . . .

This is the reason why they do not understand Joe the Plumber.  Because he doesn’t have a higher income today they assume that he never will and that he believes he never will. They expect him to resent anyone whose doing better than he is, instead of planning to do better himself. They don’t understand the Joes of the world.  Never have.  Never will.

This political philosophy has a long tradition. At best it can be labeled a benign welfare state.  But history tells us that it can lead to tyranny or economic turmoil or both.  And … most important … it has never found favor in the United States – not during the Great Depression, in times of war, or any other time.

It’s because in this country we have a different view.  We know that people do better when given opportunity and responsibility.  It has to do with our view of the nature of man.  . . . .  We believe that man was meant to be free—entitled to be free.  It’s an inalienable right, endowed by our Creator.  When free and inspired man can achieve great things – for his family, community and his nation.  In fact this belief is what we built our nation on.

[snip]

Let there be no doubt that an Obama administration and a heavily Democratically controlled Congress would change the face of this nation.  Only you can decide whether or not the ways in which they would change it would be a good thing.

I don’t believe it.  And John McCain doesn’t.  . . . Responsible change is the essence of conservatism.  We must change in order to preserve what is best about our country.  We have always been able to accommodate constructive change without turning our back on our first principles.  We must do it again.

However, that does not include staking everything upon the eloquence and inexperience of one who has toed the extreme liberal and partisan line his entire political life, much as he tries to blur that fact now.

This is the choice that we have in this election.  Let’s hope for our nation’s sake that we choose well.

Let’s not lose heart.  Get everyone you know to vote.  There are long lines of people voting early in Dade County in Florida.  Somebody on FOX is interviewing them right now and you can tell they were all bussed in.    Chicago tactics are spreading country-wide.  It’s essential we get out the vote.

And let’s also hope that a victorious McCain finds a place in his administration for the marvelous and wise Fred.

Colin Powell Jumps The Shark

And I don’t mean his endorsement of Barry O last Sunday:

Colin Powell’s powerful chief of staff, Larry Wilkerson, gives a dramatic interview to Foreign Policy:

FP: What’s your take on the tone of the campaign?

LW: I was fully expecting the grand wizard of the Klu Klux Klan to arrive from Maryland and endorse McCain. I was becoming frightened that we were returning to 1968, when they assassinated Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. Those were bad times.

One of the most dramatic moments for me was when I was watching McCain on television, and I thought I saw in McCain’s eyes himself, when someone yelled something out, a recognition of, ‘Oh, God, what have I done?’ This is not McCain; he doesn’t cater to this. But for the first time in his political life, I think he realized that there are some strange people in the Republican tent. My father used to say, ‘Larry beware of the left because they will bankrupt you; beware of the right because they will kill you.’

A McCain aide, who wouldn’t criticize Powell on the record, responded by dismissing Wilkerson’s remarks as extreme.

“But we won’t hold our breath for Colin Powell to come out and denounce this kind of garbage from his own people even though these comments are worse than anything that’s come out of this campaign,” the aide said.

Sounds like Uncle Colin is angling to be Barry’s SecDef, huh? Heckuva nice way to repay Ronald Reagan, who made Powell is National Security Advisor, and George H.W. Bush, who made Powell his Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman, and George W. Bush, who made Powell his Secretary of State, or the Republican Party itself, which would have nominated him to be its presidential candidate by acclaimation (and maybe even have beaten Sick Willie) if he had opted to run in 1996.

General, you have nullified your past service to your country. You have burned all of your bridges behind you.

[h/t: Media Lizzy]

UPDATE: Guess who was surprised by Uncle Colin’s treachery (via Newsmax Insider):

John McCain said former Secretary of State Colin Powell did not notify him about his decision to endorse Barack Obama before he expressed his support for the Democrat on Meet the Press.

McCain told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review he regretted that Powell crossed party lines to endorse Obama and “expressed disappointment that his longtime friend didn’t notify him first.”

McCain told the newspaper, “I was surprised that he didn’t call me before.”

One reason Powell cited for not backing McCain was his choice of Sarah Palin as his running mate.

McCain said, “I wish he had taken the opportunity to meet Governor Palin.”

Powell said during his October 19 “Meet the Press” appearance, “It isn’t easy for me to disappoint Senator McCain in the way that I have this morning, and I regret that.”

The following day, Obama told NBC’s Today show that Powell “will have a role as one of my advisers.” Whether Powell wants to take a formal role, Obama said, would be “something we’d have to discuss.”

A few points, Senator:

1) Obviously Powell was never really your “friend”;

2) You know bigots, they always prejudge;

3) After a decade of betraying your own party, the perfidious chickens really are coming home to roost, huh?
