WHAT DO THE RNC AND FBI HAVE IN COMMON?

TONIGHT! THE RNC and the FBI.

Live from the Republican National Convention, Marathon Pundit blogger John Ruberry checks in with a report of the day’s events. John lives in the Chicago area and is an expert on “The Chicago Way”, chronicling Obama and the political machine that vaulted him to the Democrat’s nominee for President. Lift a rock in Illinois, John’s there to report on it. John arrived in Minnesota Sunday night to cover the convention as an accredited blogger, posting photos and text at his site.

“This is the Democrats’ big week–their convention is taking place in Denver. Next week the Republican National Convention will be held in at the Xcel Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.

That one is more important–because I’ll be there. After running only 12 miles next Sunday, I’ll hop in my car (after showering) and take Interstate 94 to the Twin Cites.

Yes, I’ll be blogging about it.”

He’ll tell us all about today’s activities and the mood at the Xcel Center on our program.

Also joining us — DENNY JOYCE, seasoned professional who is a specialist in sensitive employment investigations. Denny Joyce, the principal of Dennis Joyce Investigations, served as a Special Agent for the FBI for 24 years, and as a supervisor in the FBI’s Sacramento office for twelve years before his retirement. Whether locating key witnesses or coaxing information from those who “don’t want to get involved”, Mr. Joyce brings the ethics and integrity ingrained in his U.S. Naval Academy training and FBI experience to all of his investigative work. He is also part of a national network of former FBI agents engaged in private investigation.

The retired FBI agent/supervisor now heads up the McCain Campaign office in northern California. Denny attended the US Naval Academy with McCain, and has some up-close observations about the Republican presidential candidate. As an FBI agent, he worked out of the Milwaukee office which oversees Chicago. Think he might have some interesting stories to tell about “The Chicago Way” politics?

Surprise Visit From the Republican National Convention on Political Pistachio

A Call From The Republican National Convention on Political Pistachio Radio

Every once in a while on Political Pistachio Radio we experience pleasant surprises. Tonight on Political Pistachio Radio, as Mrs. Pistachio and I debated the abortion issue with a panel of callers, Dr. Deborah Honeycutt called in to join the discussion.

Dr. Deborah Honeycutt is running in the 13th district of Georgia for Congress and is in Minnesota to attend the Republican National Convention. Her campaign site on the main page says this: “. . . our United States government is facing a moral crisis. As a country we are in danger of forsaking the moral cornerstone upon which our nation was founded. No longer do many of our leaders make decisions based on constitutional imperatives, time-honored values, or Christian principles. Foundational phrases like “One Nation under God” and “In God We Trust,” which symbolize the genesis of our nation, are daily being assaulted by individuals and organizations with seemingly socialist agendas. Activist judges are virtually making laws from their benches, thereby usurping the powers of our U.S. Congress. Members of Congress are challenging the constitutional powers of the executive branch. The executive branch through utilizing executive orders is making judicial decrees. Where established order is not upheld, there is chaos. The current political chaos does not serve the citizens of our country well.”
