I think Romney and McCain were very close but give it to Romney for his broad, substantitive answers.

McCain did himself some good.

Rudy is toast. I am amazed he didn’t go after either Romney or McCain.

Huckster came on at the end.

Ron Paul actually smiled when they were talking about McCain’s mother.

I think this debate reflects what’s going on in the internal polls of the candidates rather than the public polls. I think they see a very close three man race with Rudy probably in third, losing ground to both McCain and Romney this last week.

Rasmussen, as usual, is probably closest. He has them all within 3 or 4 points of each other (Margin of error). Rudy is counting on the early vote to put him over the top. We’ll see.
