The Night We Met - Personal Pistachio

A long time ago, in a city not far away, Mrs. Pistachio kissed Doug for the first time. It was the beginning of a love affair that continues today. But the road has not always been paved with gold. The beginnings were the first dips of a major roller coaster ride that nearly split the two apart many times, only to smooth out over the last few years.

Installment one of the relationship that people wish to learn more about will be broadcast over Political Pistachio Radio on Blog Talk Radio on Sunday, January 6, 2008 - 9pm Eastern/6pm Pacific. No Politics. No discussions about Blogging. No mention of the War on the Islamic Jihad. The Sunday broadcasts are only personal - a journey through the years of The Pistachios.

The first episode is called: The Night We Met. Little did we know on that night that in less than three years we would be married, have a child, and I would die in an accident on my way to my Navy Sea-going Command. The night we met was the scene of our first dance, our first kiss, and the beginning of a rocky relationship that would nearly destroy our relationships with other people. . . and, the night we met was the night that a heart broke, and only a couple days before my heart broke as well. Tune in to find out - Personal Pistachio Debut.

And as an added note: I would like to thank all of the listeners for making Political Pistachio the third most listened to Conservative Show on Blog Talk Radio. Thank you. Your support makes it great.

NH GOP withdraws as sponsor from Fox News debate

By Michelle Malkin • January 5, 2008 12:55 PM

The Manchester Union Leader is reporting and blogs are buzzing over the NH GOP party’s withdrawal as a sponsor from the Fox News debate tomorrow night. U-L:

12:15 p.m. UnionLeader.com has learned that the New Hampshire Republican Party has quit as a co-sponsor of tomorrow night’s nationally televised GOP forum on FOX News. The event had become controversial when FOX refused to include Ron Paul.

Boston Globe reporting:

The New Hampshire Republican Party dropped their affiliation with a Republican debate sponsored by Fox News tomorrow night because they have limited the number of candidates that can participate.

“The first-in-the-nation New Hampshire primary serves a national purpose by giving all candidates an equal opportunity on a level playing field,” said Republican chair Fergus Cullen. “Only in New Hampshire do lesser known, lesser funded underdogs have a fighting chance to establish themselves as national figures.

Tonight’s ABC News back-to-back debates will include Iowa caucus winner Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson, Mitt Romney and Ron Paul at 7pm and Democrats Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Edwards and Bill Richardson after the GOP event.

Denny K is going after Disney/ABC for the exclusion.

I’ve been invited to participate tonight in a discussion about our rights and the limits our nation’s founders placed on the federal government.

The conversation will take place at 8 p.m. EST on the radio show “The Halls of Valhalla: American Truth Warriors”. Program host is “A Newt One” and Loki. We’ll also be looking at the post-Iowa Caucus political scene leading up to this week’s New Hampshire primary.

Mike Huckabee Causes Nosebleeds

That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it

Sure, sure, devastatingly handsome ghost villains

aren’t supposed to bleed, but we sneeze a lot harder than the rest of you mortals, too.  Particularly at the spectre of the John Edwards of the Republican Party capturing the first leg of the primary campaign.

Hey, it was either that, or wretch uncontrollably.  And you don’t want to have to clean ectoplasmic regurgitants out of the carpet at that time of night.

Log on and tune in to find out if I lose complete control of all my orifices, or just the usual one.

A Tribute to Ronald Reagan, Debating the Debates, Iowa Caucus, Melissa Hart, and Personal Pistachio

On January 2, 2007 the Political Pistachio Radio Show began with a ten minute tribute to Ronald Reagan. Then, in anticipation of the Iowa Caucus, Mrs. Pistachio asked me, “What is a Caucus?” and “What’s the difference between a Caucus and a Primary?” I attempted to answer the best I could, and received tremendous help from one of my listeners, a woman from Oregon that calls herself Flag Gazer. Then, the debate over the debates happened. Andrea Shea King gave a spirited argument regarding Fox News Channel’s decision to disallow Hunter and Ron Paul to participate in the upcoming forum they plan to have - - - and MDConservative was not in agreement - - - and my opinion was somewhere in between.

On January 3, 2007 Pennsylvania 4th District Congressional Candidate Melissa Hart joined Political Pistachio Radio. The interview was fantastic (oh, and at the beginning of the show I cleared up the debate from the night before a little).

On January 5, 2007 The Wyoming Caucus and “After Iowa” will be discussed.

and Finally, on Sunday, January 6, 2007 Personal Pistachio will premiere. First episode? The night we met.
