EYE ON HAWKEYE CAUK-EYE tonight with Andrea at 9 p.m. EST
Fox News’ Jane Skinner was just told by Fred Thompson in a TV interview from Iowa that the question she asked comparing his schedule to that of John Edwards’ was — essentially — very superficial and not worthy of comment — instead, he said, there are far more important comparisons to be made between him and Edwards….
GOOD FOR HIM!!!! If Fred’s elected, the White House Press Conferences are going to be dee-licious!
Remember his response to the overbearing debate moderator in Des Moines who wanted the candidates to raise their hands? Whoo -hooo! This is just a taste of Fred to come… someone who’ll put the vacuous media morons on notice. Cue the music: There’s a new kid in town. Stand by!

Rich Galen…
“The Iowa Caucuses will be held tomorrow night and there should be some clear results by about 9 p.m. Central time and some clearing of both the Republican and Democratic fields shortly after. Political reporters and insiders say there is absolutely no way to sort out where the Democratic candidates will stack up when the caucusing is over. It all depends on voter turnout…

We’ve got our own reporters on the ground in Iowa. That’s right. Marsha Della Giustina, associate professor of broadcast journalism at Emerson College in Boston (and my professional mentor) is herding a gaggle of crack-sharp journalism students in Des Moines who are cutting their chops in the biz chasing down candidates and filing reports. Read them on their website Political Pulse.
One of these young reporters will be calling in at the top of my radio show tonight AND tomorrow night to file their report and give us the inside scoop.
Don’t miss it!!!

Also tonight — Prof. Andrew Lubin gives us his perspective on the Benezir Bhutto assassination, its aftermath in Pakistan and the ripple effect it will have on the rest of the world.

Props to 62 New Year’s Eve revelers who joined us on our SPECIAL EDITION New Year’s Eve Party on The Andrea Shea King Show at Blog Talk Radio. It was a blast!
Helping me with hosting duties: Douglas V. Gibbs and the lovely Mrs. Pistachio.
We talked politics, of course.
A hilarious highlight came with a playback of an edited segment of my DEC. 4 show. It featured the talented and politically astute Josh Allem, who called into the show to “set the record straight” with my guest John McManus, president of the John Birch Society, about the Council on Foreign Relations. To hear the bit, head here. To listen to our New Year’s EVE festivities, click here.
Among the folks who helped ring in 2008 from Coast to Coast — Warner Todd Huston (fellow Voice of Liberty Podcast Network contributor) and author Richard S. Lowry.
It was a novel and first of its kind way to celebrate the march of time with friends, using the internet platform as our party ballroom. Pretty cool.
