TONIGHT AT 9 - “AMERICAN SPECTATOR’S JIM ANTLE WITH ANDREA
Writing in The American Spectator, tonight’s radio program guest W. JAMES ANTLE III, makes the case that in 2008, nothing from nothing still leaves nothing:
“In the 2008 field, who were the broadly consistent conservatives? There were two former governors from the 1990s. There was a boring senator from Kansas who never seemed able […]
Not The First Mate
She thought McCain was a disaster, and she was a Fredhead.
I Don’t Know…
We are a house divided…..The Logical Husband thought that McCain won in a cake walk. I’m still of the mindset that Romney won, but McCain did get some body blows in.
Final results
Romney in a walk. But for some reason, he doesn’t attack McCain face to face very effectively. His ads do that for him but people want to see the candidate get in the other guys face a little.
And why did he ignore Huckabee? Every vote he can peel away from the Huckster is a vote […]
Romney Won
And Huckabee did better at the end, demanding some attention and making the most of it when he got it. McCain barely looked alive and he did himself no favors by mixing it up with Romney and Cooper on that quote. Paul was Paul, only less so tonight.
We all knew it was coming
“What would Ronald Reagan do?”, or how many times did they say “Ronald Reagan”?
Romney: 15 “Ronald Reagan”
McCain: 4
Ron Paul: 3
Huckabee: 4
Huckabee Has The Best Reagan Answer
“I won’t be arrogant enough to assume that he would endorse me … But I endorse him.”
I have to admit
Huckabee gave the best answer on that last one
A Homer for Huckabee!
He saved the best for last!
Ronald Reagan changed his positions, too
McCain seems to forget that. Would Reagan do amnesty again?
Fact is
we have no candidate close to what Reagan was - but, Romney is the one least farthest away
Is It Just Me
or is anyone else finding these Ronald Reagan questions to be tiresome and tedious?
Anderson Cooper - Dolt
Reagan lived in a different world - different threats, different challenges. To ask that question is worse than ridiculous; it’s insulting.
YAY 4 Minutes…
Starting with Governor Romney - there’s a shocker….
Come On Jazz….
We are not that bad…..I’ve been given your guy, Rep Paul AND Governor Huckabee props from criminy’s sake (yeah I have been in MN too long……)
Huckabee Endorses Romney
He’s basically arguing that Senators and Congressmen don’t make good candidates for the Presidency. He’s right.
Jazz, I was hoping …
you’d be the contrarian voice here!
Chime in, Jazz, chime in!
Your fans demand it!
Fausta
Still watching, still here. But obviously anyone who hasn’t already declared Mitt the next president shouldn’t be chiming in. Enjoying the show and taking in information.
McCain is shooting himself in the foot
with that employees lost jobs quip
“Can’t Afford On The Job Training”
That’s not a bad line from McCain.
AC’s Doing It Again….
He is completely ignoring Paul and Huckabee.
Was about time a Republican candidate
spoke well of business. Last Saturday Larry Kuldow was talking in his radio show about how none of the Republicans have come in defense of business when 130 million Americans work for private businesses.
McCain isn’t selling
Help me, I’m seeing Bob Dole ‘96.
Romney dominating near the close -
this debate is owned by Mitt
Shouldn’t Demean Business Owners
Romney found the best answer to that McCain charge — why are we denigrating people who start businesses? They’re not managers, they’re leaders.
McCain isn’t selling
By the way, the focus group isn’t buying what he’s selling.
Pun intended.
Does anyone else get mad
when McCain uses that “I served for patriotism not profit” theme?
McCain can only lean on
the fact that he’s a war hero - but Romney has him spanked on each and every one of the other issues, especially the economy
McCain on the Economy
I retired from the military senator, and I have trouble balancing my checkbook.
So what?
McCain Is A Leader
But is denigrating the profit motive a real way to reach conservatives?
Romney’s Playing Ball Control
He’s answering in depth, and by doing so he gets more air time. He’s using the format to his advantage.
Jazz,
Don’t leave - are you still here?
Putin wishes to re-erect the USSR
and Romney recognizes that (just as McCain does) - Dems refuse to see that.
Judge by actions
yes, Huckabee, that’s why I don’t like you or McCain - your past actions are more repugnant than Romney’s
You Were the Only One
who was in a position to have the knowledge to have a say on the issue Senator McCain…..
talking about the war
is the only time McCain truly and completely makes sense
Now McCain disavows the “100-year war” quote
So now his quotes are irrelevant? Jeeeeeeeeeez.
I don’t know about the voice of reason, Ed.
The man lost me with the first “guns and butter”!
Huckabee Points Out the Obvious
That AC is ignoring them. Good for him! Someone needs to point it out.
aaaahhhhhhh
Huckabee feels left out……..
McCain is killing himself
He’s back to being a cheap and angry old man. The focus group red lines were diving while McCain was yacking.
Paul Smacks McCain
“We’re arguing over technicalities over who said what when … when they agree on the same policy.” The voice of reason?
Ronulan on foreign policy
again, and now on guns and butter.
In 1952 I wasn’t even a glint in my parents’ eyes…
Ron Paul needs to be escorted off the stage
OUR EMPIRE? Jeeeeez
Here comes China Fausta!
McCain’s Blowing This Big
He looks small and peevish. And pathetic.
Did Someone Give Sen McCain
some vitamin water during the break? I don’t know if it was the interchange with Governor Romney or what but he is FIRED UP and finally looking alive!
Oh please….don’t whine about the issue ads. It’s not becoming of you……
McCain deserves more than
three Pinochios
“the Washington-style old politics”
… “just throw it out there”
Romney’s on a roll
