WE ARE NOT OCCUPYING ANBODY’S COUNTRY!
Ron Paul is truly an idiot. To believe that having a base with 20,000 airmen in Saudi Arabia was akin to occupying that country shows Paul to be unworthy of any office above dog catcher.

My head exploded on that one too. Having been in Saudi Arabia many times as one of those Airmen stationed there, I can say that we were hugely restricted in our activities and our travels. We were deferential to the locals in the extreme, despite Anti-American sentiment that was visible even as early as “Desert Shield,” during the early days of which some of us got to come face to face with the famous Saudi religious police; spooky. Those early days of limited freedom to see the kingdom were few, and the fact is that most persons going there felt like they were going to a prison of sorts, not to act as occupiers. Ron Paul is an embarrassment.
