There’s a lot of excitement in the air! And I’m not even at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort and Hotel yet!

This evening the Republican presidential hopefuls assemble to tell Americans yet again what they stand for — and what they WON’T stand for.

This latest heat in the marathon for the Oval Office is hosted by Fox News, which means it will be sensibly moderated by Washington Bureau Chief Brit Hume.

I’m there at the invitation of Cong. Duncan Hunter. A huge thank to him and his staff for the VIP invite.

And as if THAT’s not enough, I’ll be joining the WDBO crew and 12 lucky listeners at a pre-debate dinner with Sean Hannity.

Yep, dining with “The Great American”. Got my camera and my tape recorder. And if it wasn’t so awkward, I’d bring along this little gal here to live blog the fun and festivities. But I’ve got to look calm, cool, and collected, right? So I’ve got an Ace up my sleeve — Blogging Ace THIRDWAVEDAVE (thank you!!!!) will be keeping you informed as I call in with play-by-plays from the Dinner and the Debate.

I won’t be doing my live show from WDBO’s studios tonight — we’re running a “Best Of” instead. But if I have the opportunity, I’ll try to call in to “interrupt regular programming” with a live report or two during the program’s second hour.
