Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign forced a magazine to drop a negative story about her by threatening to cut off the publication’s access to the former President Bill Clinton, it emerged yesterday.
The ruthless response to GQ magazine, and its decision to bow to the ultimatum, reflects the enormous leverage Mr Clinton brings to his wife’s White House bid at a time when her quest for the Democratic nomination appears more formidable than ever.
The magazine, which is due to have Mr Clinton on its cover for its December issue, was told that the former President would no longer cooperate unless it pulled an article it was about to publish detailing infighting and tensions within Mrs Clinton’s campaign.
Despite protests at the magazine, the article was duly sidelined, according to a respected US political website. In an e-mail statement to The Times, Jim Nelson, the Editor of GQ, said: “I don’t really get into the inner workings of the magazine, but I can tell you that, yes, we did kill a Hillary piece. We kill pieces all the time for a variety of reasons.” He refused to elaborate.
American Stalinism could be back on it’s way to the White House! The first time around, the Clinton thugs were caught practicing the art of personal destruction of women that Bill had sexually molested as governor of Arkansas. Carville, Begala and crew stopped at nothing to marginalize the women who were victimized by a sex-deranged presidential degenerate. A Hillary presidency, however, will not waste time needlessly like Billy boy did. Her first objective will be the literal destruction of her enemies… there will be hell to pay!
The Clinton machine broke out a sneak preview this week (via Media Matters) of what can be expected. Talk radio will be under siege like never before as hosts will come under fire and private broadcast ownership will be forced to alter the content of their programming at proverbial gunpoint. The internet will be the next to go, as both the right-wing and the left-wing blogosphere will become emasculated and then marginalized through congressional legislation. Yes, you heard me right! The left-wing blogosphere also needs to be controlled in a Clinton presidency; there is no way in hell that President Rodham will be held hostage by the demands of a petulant Markos ‘Screw Them’ Moulitsas and his uncivilized minions. This is her party, bought and paid for, and it will hand her the presidency - everyone else be damned, especially a uncontrollable bunch of college kids pounding away on their laptops!
The rebirth of the Politburo is only one year away; we can only hope that the American people abort this plan before it has a chance to be put into action!

Jenber marveled at the audacity of Crazy Nancy invoking the Almighty on behalf of a SCHIP bill that, depending on your point of view, will either take kiddie health care insurance from the “poor” and give it to the middle class, or impoverish the middle class and make every child who isn’t rich (i.e. a Democrat) poor. Perhaps she needs to bone up on where it is written, “Then some children were brought to Him so that He might lay His hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, “Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.“ If you check the passage, you’ll discover there wasn’t anything in it for Him.
Meanwhile, I speculated on whether open McGovernism can win in 2008. The short answer is, “It depends on whether the Reagan paradigm is still in electoral vogue.” If it is, Hillary - who isn’t exactly hiding behind a “New Democrat” mask anymore - will sink like an anchor. If it isn’t, she’s president-for-life.
And there are ill winds blowing beyond the Iraqi front. Evil portents, indeed.

Dan Curry used to be an investigative reporter. In some ways, he still is — he’s done a lot of research on a company with a checkered past and found it has given politicians lots of money, with the Clintons at the top of the list.
From his own blogsite Reverse Spin, Dan writes:
“On Meet the Press last Sunday, Hillary Clinton proclaimed that new vetting procedures had been been put in place to prevent her from taking money from sleaze merchants like Norman Hsu.
If you think you’ve heard that line before, you are right.
The spokeswoman for Mrs. Clinton, Ann Lewis, said Mrs. Clinton was not aware of Mr. Burgess’s background when he held fund-raising affairs for her in 2000 and 2003, nor did she know whether other prominent Democrats had rejected contributions. She said that Mrs. Clinton’s vetting procedures have been strengthened since the senator’s appearance at I.P.A.
That paragraph appeared in a May 2006 article in the New York Times focusing on questionable contributions to Clinton from Illinois-based International Profit Associates, a business consulting company run by a convicted criminal that is beset by fraud allegations and a massive federal sexual harassment lawsuit.
Small business owners across the country, frustrated by Hillary’s continued refusal to turn away IPA funds, have written her this letter today. The small business owners were victimized by IPA’s fraud and are suing IPA in a federal racketeering lawsuit pending in Chicago.
Particularly egregious is the federal sexual harassment suit against IPA that is one of the worst I’ve ever seen.
