Speaking of Fred….

….J-Ger is being told that he’s almost in.  Which really doesn’t mean a whole lot since he was “almost in” two months ago and didn’t get in.  As far as I’m concerned, Fred will be in when he gets in and not a picosecond before.

Beats me why he doesn’t get in now when he’s announcing that he’s almost in.  Why announce next week the day after a rather significant debate/confab/glorified group presser that Granite-Staters take personally when it is snubbed by a first-tier almost-candidate?

Of course, the last such GOP candidate to pull any kind of snub up there was….George W. Bush, who lost the New Hampshire primary but still went on to the nomination and victory in November/December 2000.  But Dubya was pretty much the lone front-runner, with John McCain a not-very-close second; Fred is currently in the “Sailor” position, so he may have to take such sniping criticism a bit more seriously.

Or, given that he still hasn’t gotten in yet, maybe not….
