Great News! Janeane “Frumpy” Garofalo Joins ‘24′ Cast!

There’s a lot of groaning - well, outright anger at the news that our favorite Air antiAmerica Radio host has landed a gig as a government agent on the FOX show ‘24.’ I agree that a good day starts with news that Janeane “Frumpy” Garofalo has been fired, arrested, dissed or even just suffering flu like symptoms, but there’s a silver lining to the lingering brown cloud that’s choking out the God loving sunlight above: Now we get to see Frumpy at least pretend she wants to defend America! And as all 24 fans know - agents end up pissing off Jack all the time - which should give us reason to be optimistic!

Things I want to hear Jack Bauer say in season 7:

1) “Damn it, Frumpy!”

2) “Get Frumpy into the interrogation room, NOW!”

3) “You’re gonna feel more pain than you ever imagined, Frumpy - tell me who you’re working for!”

4) “Tell me where the bomb is, Frumpy, or I’ll shoot off your other knee cap!”

5) “I don’t give a damn about your Geneva Convention Frumpy - tell me the truth or…BANG!”

6) “Give me that syringe, I’ll make Frumpy talk!”

7) “Lock the door at Interrogation room 13 - Frumpy’s just given her life for our country…”

Imagine all of our fantasies come true - on screen! Frumpy Garofalo kidnapped by terrorists! Frumpy dropped from a helicopter, or strapped to a missile, or shipped off to Iran or locked in a room with Chloe! If there was ever a time to hope that ‘24′ is actually a right wing show, Joel Surnow might just have given every America loving, terrorist hating, Air America despising conservative a reason to cheer!

I can’t wait for January!

OH! OH! OBAMA!

Tonight on “A Conversation with Andrea and …” at 9 p.m. ET…

We’ll be talking to David Mendell, author of OBAMA From Promise to Power , a revealing biography not only about Barack Obama, but also the people closest to him — including the amazingly strong Michelle Obama who is making headlines today by taking on “Her Royal Pantsuit.”

It’s interesting - and telling - that the wives of both male challengers are taking on the first female candidate for President. Hillary’s entry into the race for the White House has drawn in both John Edwards’ and Obama’s wives’ voices, changing forever the traditional rules of political engagement for presidential campaigning.

While it appears that Barack Obama exploded onto the national political landscape overnight as if by accident, political reporter David Mendell of the Chicago Tribune argues that the meteoric rise of Obama from local law school lecturer, community organizer and politician to viable candidate for the 2008 presidential election, has been a carefully orchestrated plan devised by the ambitious senator almost from the beginning.

Even the marital troubles that plague Obama and Michelle as the result of his grueling campaign schedule are included when Mendell offers eye opening observations of the man who would be the first Black President.

We’ll get the inside scoop with David Mendell tonight at 9 p.m. ET on Blog Talk Radio. The Chat Room will be open for your comments and questions. Before you cast your vote, hit the link below at 9 tonight:
