Another Vintage Clintonism

via J-Ger

“I have been saying consistently for a number of years now, we have to end the Bush era of ignoring problems, ignoring enemies and adversaries.”

“Ignoring enemies and adversaries?  Bush???  Well, okay, Iran, but I don’t see Hillary clamoring to go in there and “turn Ahmadinejad into a dead SOB“.

And I have been absolutely clear that we’ve got to return to robust and effective diplomacy.

And that means….ignoring enemies and adversaries!

But I don’t want to see the power and prestige of the United States President put at risk by rushing into meetings with the likes of Chavez, and Castro, and Ahmadinejad.”

If that’s the way she really feels, why hold meetings with those regimes at all?  What did the “robust and effective diplomacy” of her husband’s administration accomplish besides fecking and appeasing us into this war?

But that isn’t even the point.  Mrs. Clinton managed to compress this whiplashing incoherence into a single soundbite, and it’s being taken seriously.  And she has Barack Obama’s infantile glibness to thank for it.

Yep, the Clinton years really are coming back for an encore.

God help us all.
