Friday Hard Starboard Recap

House Republicans launched a pre-emptive strike against the reanimation of the so-called Fairness Doctrine.  Savvy Democrats have got to hope that their majority officeholders somehow locate a sense of minimal discretion until Mrs. Clinton can capture the White House, or their unholy grail will remain beyond their grasping reach.

Has another Battle of Britain begun?

Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy turns a Roberts SCOTUS home run on affirmative action into a stand-up double.  Coming in the wake of their refusal to knock out McCain-Feingold, and with the window of opportunity before Olympus to right the un- and extra-constitutional wrongs of its predecessors of limited duration, is this really the time for the Supremes to be playing “small ball”?

The Iranian mullahgarchy has the unchallenged upper hand in its looming global showdown against the West.  But while we appear willing to lamely diplodither indefinitely, the mullahs’ ambitions are under much more robust internal time pressures that may force their hand against us sooner than they may prefer.  Are we prepared for it?

And Opie goes schitzo, Obama goes “realist,” Fat Albert teases, and Hillary! and the Pretenders pander as we go around the Donk horn.
