The amnesty bill we were told was not an amnesty bill

Ed is too sanguine about this bill, I think. The security aspects of it will be watered down even more and then honored in the breach in the rush to give these “Z” visas to illegals.

And history has shown us that the visa process itself will be pro forma. After all, with 12 million people to work through the system, the bureaucrats will find short cuts to ease the load.

But what has my panties in a twist is the fact that we were told in no uncertain terms for two years by proponents of this bill that this kind of thing wouldn’t happen. Well, it’s happening. And I call out all of those who accused those of us opposing this measure as racists or worse as being liars.

WHERE IS RUDY ON THE BORDER?

Is Rudy Giuliani tied to attempts to merge Mexico and Canada with the United States in a North American Union?

Could be. And he might not be the only one.

Dr. Jerome Corsi writes in WorldNetDaily that questions are being raised over the Republican presidential candidate’s policy on terrorism, after a report revealed he has ties — strong ties — to two foreign investment consortia working to own or lease U.S. toll roads, including the Trans-Texas Corridor 35, which is identified as part of the “NAFTA Superhighway”.

Giuliani recently declined to call for building a fence in the U.S. border with Mexico, and he has supported a guest-worker program. And while mayor of New York City, Giuliani kept the municipality a sanctuary city for illegal aliens, adhering to a policy first established by Mayor Ed Koch in 1989.

Dr. Corsi will join me tonight on BlogTalkRadio at 9 ET with more details about this latest revelation. He’ll also give us his take on the positions other presidential hopefuls have exhibited regarding an ongoing effort to merge all three countries into a North American Union, patterned after the European Union.

Click on the BlogTalkRadio button here to listen to the stream. Clicking on it prior to 9 pm ET showtime will launch the podcast of last night’s program during which I interviewed Ken Timmerman, expert on Iran and author of “Countdown to Crisis: The Coming Nuclear Crisis with Iran”.

Iraq war “cut off” vote down in defeat in Senate

Hurrah!

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Senate on Wednesday rejected legislation that would cut off money for combat operations in Iraq after March 31, 2008.

The vote was a loss for Sen. Russell Feingold, D-Wis., and other Democrats who want to end the war. But the effort picked up support from members, including presidential hopefuls previously reluctant to limit war funding - an indication of the conflict’s unpopularity among voters.

The proposal lost 29-67 on a procedural vote, falling 31 votes short of the necessary votes to advance. Of the 67 senators who opposed Feingold’s proposal, there were 19 Democrats, 47 Republicans and Connecticut Independent Joseph Lieberman. Of the 29 supporting, 28 were Democrats and Vermont Independent Bernard Sanders.

“Americans are against the war?”

Don’t you believe it.

You can say you knew me when

Iowa polling via Zogby:

Republican Mitt Romney has pushed from a distant third place into a small lead in Iowa, the continuation of progress he has shown since the first of the year in the Hawkeye state, while Arizona Sen. John McCain has has remained steady and one-time front-runner Rudy Giuliani has slid substantially, a new Zogby International telephone poll shows.

Winners And Losers Of South Carolina GOP Debate

Winners

1. Mike Huckabee- by far the most articulate and philosophically sound conservative on last night’s panel. Also had the funniest line of the night at the expense of John Edwards!

2 Tom Tancredo- Any potential president that would look for Jack Bauer in a ‘clock is ticking’ scenario has our vote at Political Vindication!

3. Fox News- What a great job they did in presenting the GOP debate. Just the fact that there was no one screaming “KILL IT, KILL IT” made it a refreshing presentation.

Losers

1. John McCain- He basically reaffirmed his stance on putting restrictions on freedom of speech by supporting his campaign finance legislation, amnesty for illegals, and used the Democratic Party talking points on combatant enemies.

2. Ron Paul- Yeah, Ron! It’s all America’s fault! Do us a favor: stay home for the next debate!

3. Tommy Thompson- Tom, I like you. But you’ve got to stop looking at the camera when you’re talking. You look like a robot!

Havilah Lyon of MittRomneyForPresident has accepted our invitation to come onto Political Vindication Radio! We’ll be interviewing her on our show tonight at 7pm Pacific time. Havilah is going to tell us why Republicans should look to Mitt Romney to lead this great country of ours. If you want to join in on the conversation, give us a call at (646) 652-4598.
