FUMING. JUST FUMING.

Sad news today from the war front. Four of our soldiers killed and another three missing. God help them and their loved ones who are no doubt sick with worry over their fate.

So difficult to find the right words to describe my utter disgust with the members of Congress — Democrats and Republicans both — who lack the courage and character to do the right thing and give this war everything we have to smash the filthy snakes who hide under rocks and behind IEDs, who are insanely determined to achieve their vision — the destruction of the Great and Little Satans and western civilization. Almost impossible to find strong enough words to describe my contempt for Democrats and Republicans whose venal and relentless lust for power puts them squarely on the side of the enemy.

I don’t care what they say. They care not a whit for our security. Despite their self-serving protestations to the contrary, I don’t believe it. Their hearts are stone cold, feeling replaced by ambition as ruthless as al Qaeda.

It is with absolute frustration that I write this, compelled to vent my fury at those who have thrown in with the enemy. It’s taken the socialists among us five years, but they’ve succeeded in convincing 60% of our fellow countrymen this war we’re fighting against Islamofascism is wrong. The leftist media is running on all eight cylinders, pumping out propaganda to the useful idiots day after day. It’s a steady drumbeat repeated over again until the sheep idiots among us latch on like an infant to a teat. Tell a lie often enough and it becomes the truth. But want to bet most of them wouldn’t know what the Constitution contains? How many representatives there are in the House? Who the Senate Majority leader is? The Cabinet members or their Departments? Freaking ignoramuses, but they’ll answer poll questions like they think they know what’s going on…

The ignorant masses who have been massaged with these lies buy into what they’re being told. The New York Times and network mainstream propaganda machines have done their job along with the “progressive” socialists in Congress.

The result: Americans who, since 9/11 have been occupied in mundane day to day living, are now convinced that “Bush lied” and the war is being fought by evil capitalists (us) for monetary gain, and it’s time to “PULL OUT NOW”.

Millions of words have been written by those more eloquent and scholarly than me. And under calmer circumstances, I might try to emulate them. One other blogger has managed to find the words. But I am fuming, my thoughts in a jumble.

So I’ll let this statement from Sen. Joe Lieberman, the only thinking– and former — Democrat, say it:

“Only a couple of months ago, the Senate confirmed a new commander to implement a new strategy in Iraq, General David Petraeus. That new strategy is now being implemented, and it is achieving some encouraging, if early, signs of success. . . .

Yet, now many in Congress would pull the plug on this new strategy and thwart the work of our troops before they are given a fair chance to succeed. I am aware that public opinion has turned against the war in Iraq. . . .

But leadership requires sometimes that we defy public opinion if that is what is necessary to do what is right for our country. . . . Al Qaeda itself has declared Iraq to be the central front of their larger war against our way of life. . . .

Our judgment can be guided by the polls and we can withdraw in defeat. [But] no matter what we say, our enemy will know that America’s will has been broken by the barbarity of their bloodlust–the very barbarity we declare we are fighting, but from which we would actually be running.”

I am sick at today’s troop loss. Who knows how many more of our brave brothers, sons and husbands will be killed or kidnapped because the slime enemy is emboldened by its equally slimey counterpart enemy here in our Congress and the nation’s newsrooms?

For shame. For freaking crying shame.

Please say a prayer for our troops, and for their loved ones who sacrifice and await their safe return.

House Unintelligence Committee

On Thursday the House passed a bill that, as Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Pete Hoekstra (R-MI) said in an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal, “diverts CIA and other intelligence resources away from critical terrorism-related missions to study global climate change.”

Saying the Democrats’ 2008 intelligence authorization bill is a throwback to the mistakes of the 1990s when scarce resources were diverted to issues that clearly were not related to the businesses of intelligence, Hoekstra explained there was a mistaken belief then that serious threats to U.S. national security diminished or disappeared with the end of the Cold War. Intelligence spending was slashed in what was called then a post-Cold War “peace dividend.”

“I fear the intelligence authorization being voted on by Congress demonstrates some of the same short-sightedness of the 1990s.While Democrats call for U.S. intelligence agencies to study global climate change, they continue to grossly underestimate the terrorist threat. They willfully ignore or play down world-wide activity by radical jihadists, including this week’s arrest in New Jersey of six men — who may have been influenced by al Qaeda terrorist training tapes — for allegedly planning to kill hundreds of soldiers at Fort Dix and other military installations in the Northeast.

This past weekend, Ayman al-Zawahiri, al Qaeda’s No. 2 leader, in a videotape message, mocked Democratic legislation to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq as a sign of American weakness and mentioned using Afghanistan and Iraq as bases to launch attacks.”

The world is in a perilous place. We must spend our limited intelligence dollars wisely. Hoekstra warns that we need our intelligence analysts focused on threats that require clandestine effort and classified information, such as rogue state weapons of mass destruction programs, al Qaeda and threats to American lives.

Florida Congressman Tom Feeney, a conservative Republican who represents my District, is outraged that in a post 9/11 environment, Democrats have the audacity to bring legislation to the floor of the House that guts funds for intelligence resources while attempting to hide earmarks for members’ home projects.

“Once again, the earmark process was abused yesterday. I share Rep. Jeff Flake’s concerns that pork-barrel projects should not pass Congress without proper debate, and I have joined him in cosponsoring earmark reform to make sure that earmarks like those in the Intelligence Bill are exposed to the light of day.

“Our country’s safety depends on its ability to gather intelligence, and this legislation irresponsibly turns a blind eye to the fact that we now live in a different and dangerous world. In order to protect America’s interests and security, our intelligence agencies must receive the tools they need without politically charged red tape.”

We are facing the most malignant danger this country and western civilization has ever known, and the Democrats pull a stunt like this?

They are out of their minds, driven by a blinding and consuming lust for power. They have no shame. And their actions set us up for disaster.
